From what I understand, we are living on the back of a giant turtle. Literally. It is a sentient being, but doesn't acknowledge our presences much.

Unless there is a very big issue.

If you can call it that. Tu Vishan barely stirred. Making the power fluctuate and the ground shake a little isn't what I'd say is an actual acknowledgement. He still sleeps.

However, if you leave the city, you can head north to see his head. It's hard to mistake him for anything other than a gigantic turtle.

Yes, it's alive. And in constant motion, unless it makes landfall.

I don't believe there are more turtles like Tu Vishan, no, but you can learn this from materials in the Welcome Center as well. As for what happens should he decide to completely acknowledge us and wake up, that has yet to be seen from what I understand. We shall all have to wait and see.

From what I've been led to believe, yes. We are currently berthed upon a land right now. I believe you can find a map off of Tu Vishan to explore if that's what you wish.

That, I cannot answer. You'd be better off checking in the Welcome Center and asking there. They would have more information, after all.
