Video / Console

Look what I found.

[Fletch is postiviely glowing, grinning as he hefts a large device with a screen onto the table in front of the console. Fletch wraps an arm around it as if it was a long lost friend.]

This is a LifePak. A LifePak 15, to be precise. It's a medical monitor, and am I bloody glad to see it. Basically, it does everything; blood pressure, heart monitoring, temperature... You name it. It even acts as an automatic and manual defibrilator. I just found them in one of the curio shops. The kedan shopowner was very accomodating when I stopped him from frying himself on the charged Defib parts.

[He's still grinning. It's tech from home. Tech he can use.]

I'm donating these. One to the Healer's Guild, one to the Hotel, with the caveat that both can be used by anyone trained in them if they need to, and they can be moved between the Hotel and the Guild freely. As for training, I'm happy to give courses in how to use 'em, at a very generous rate that will go straight to the Healer's Guild, of course.

[A pause as he looks the device over.]

I need to have a word with someone who can fashion a charger for them, though. They're fully charged at the moment, but, yeah, they're battery operated. So anyone from the Metalworkers or the College fancy a challenge? Let me know. It'd be much appreciated.

[Simon sounds genuinely excited.]

What a find! I'm glad you managed to find more than one, too.

Are they, now? So we're not the only things that can travel here... I wouldn't mind finding some medical equipment from back home. Even the stuff I had on Serenity...

Well... a little bit. Our scanners and monitors can make a map of the entire body within seconds, then isolate a certain area or body system to help diagnose and treat. Still, what you have is nothing to sneeze at.

Indeed. I'll keep an eye out- for any sort of medical tech, in fact. I'm sure between the many great minds here, we can figure out how to use what we can scavenge.

Pretty much, yes- medical equipment of any sort will most likely be child's play for me, unless the tech is really that alien.

I haven't seen any evidence so far that our equipment will not work on them.

I have been told that in the past.

Do let me know if I can assist you, though.
