Look what I found.
[Fletch is postiviely glowing, grinning as he hefts a large device with a screen onto the table in front of the console. Fletch wraps an arm around it as if it was a long lost friend.]
This is a LifePak. A LifePak 15, to be precise. It's a medical monitor, and am I bloody glad to see it. Basically, it does everything; blood pressure, heart monitoring, temperature... You name it. It even acts as an automatic and manual defibrilator. I just found them in one of the curio shops. The kedan shopowner was very accomodating when I stopped him from frying himself on the charged Defib parts.
[He's still grinning. It's tech from home. Tech he can use.]
I'm donating these. One to the Healer's Guild, one to the Hotel, with the caveat that both can be used by anyone trained in them if they need to, and they can be moved between the Hotel and the Guild freely. As for training, I'm happy to give courses in how to use 'em, at a very generous rate that will go straight to the Healer's Guild, of course.
[A pause as he looks the device over.]
I need to have a word with someone who can fashion a charger for them, though. They're fully charged at the moment, but, yeah, they're battery operated. So anyone from the Metalworkers or the College fancy a challenge? Let me know. It'd be much appreciated.

I'd be very grateful if you could teach me how to use one, Monsieur. I'm already learning a lot at the Healer's Guild, but given how much these can do, I think it would be a good idea to know how to operate them if I need to.

What a find! I'm glad you managed to find more than one, too.

[He's definitely smiling, still.]
The asset tag is from Holby Ambulance Service, too, so they're from home.

You look happy.
[ Why are all his new colleagues so weird? ]

With this, we don't need to rely on the healers for certain things so much. Means they can concentrate on other stuff.

[If you wanted modesty to come along with that engineering expertise, you probably should have specified that.]

[Nobody wants to be without their personal mobile devices! It's understandable - even though there's no phone networks to connect to here, having some vestige of home can be a comfort.]
If you want a battery upgrade, that could take a little longer.
