[The video opens with Fai standing outside in the streets of Keeliai, in the Central district not far from the Midnight Hotel. He's grinning at the camera like a giant dork. Probably because he is a giant dork. The video is shot so that not much shows beneath the collar of his coat.]

Kuro-pu~~

[There is a gruff, Kurogane-type voice in return.]

What is it, darling?

[Fai ducks his head to the side a little.]

Aww, Kuro-cutie always says the sweetest things~

[There is something tiny and stifled that might be a giggle, but it's certainly not coming from Fai. The voice that answers is again the deep, gruff voice of the ninja.]

Kurogane might be the sweetest, but Fai is the cutest~ ♥

[There's a heart audible in that voice. There should not be audible hearts.

The giggle can no longer be stifled, and out of Fai's coat pops a small white creature with long ears, a cheerful expression, and a red jewel in the middle of its forehead.

...Mokona is laughing. A lot. Actually they're both cracking up pretty badly.]

[He's still giggling, so. Sorry Klaus. Less than serious answer, even if it's technically correct.]

Ah - my apologies. I don't think I've ever heard of a Mokona before?

[It looks like a cross between the mascot for a monster catching game that was inescapable in his youth and one of those mechanical dolls every child wanted.]

Oh, that's alright. There are only two of them in existence that I'm aware of. Mokona is a magical creature. I would say a construct, but that doesn't really do Mokona justice.

[He smiles fondly down at Mokona and skritches behind her ears]

Ah - there were a number of engineered lifeforms back in Jerusalem's Lot as well.

[One of which was under his employ]

No, no! I'm from Earth. Jerusalem's Lot is a city.

Oh! I see. Raine and Tony both mentioned 'Earth' as well. Seems to be a pretty popular world for this one to pull from, doesn't it?

That does appear to be the case - though if I may, where were you brought from?

[flowrite]

Well, that's... an interesting question. [He laughs brightly] You see, I'm from Celes, but for the past year or so we've been travelling through different worlds. Although as it just so happens, we were in Celes and trying to move to another world when I found myself here.

So... Celes is where I'm from, and where I was brought from, though only just barely.

You are able to travel to different worlds...?

At will?

[Yup, he cannot keep the surprise out of his tone. That's pretty fucking amazing, actually.]

Mhmm~! In fact, it's little Mokona's job to do just that, move us between worlds. [He pats Mokona's head again with obvious affection.] My own magic allows me to pass between dimensions, but it's much easier when we're travelling as a group to let Mokona handle things.

If it's possible, may I discuss the logistics of dimensional travel with you further some time?

Hmm... not quite. It's... complicated, I'm afraid.

[Not necessarily bad, but you generally don't talk about weaponizing your own blood in polite conversation where anyone can hear.]

Magic usually is. But yes, I'd love to speak further about this. It doesn't appear I'll be going anywhere for a while, and you know where to find me~
