[The video pickup doesn't show a person, other than in the background at the cafe, and not many, at that. But it does show an article.]

[It is a somewhat peculiar statuette, turned in such a way as to obscure significant details that may allow for its identification.]

[Then there is Robin's voice.]

Landfall seems to bring items that belong to people who are resident of Keeliai, so it is possible that this one may be property of somebody here. If yours, let me know.

How is the warming weather affecting you? And should I keep an eye on sunny spots or something of the sort and make sure you don't get exposed too long?

[There will be questions regarding whether it has - preternatural qualities. But not over the network.]

[She doesn't know who this is, so Bryn decides to play it safe.]

There's a cafe in the fire sector near the suites here.

[Bryn helpfully pings the location.]

I can meet you there whenever is best for you.

Acknowledged. I'll be there in an hour and a half, is that all right?

Absolutely. I'll be there in twenty, even.

[Because she is that anxious to get it back in her hands as soon as possible.

And as promised, as soon as she signs off, Bryn is in the cafe waiting for someone to arrive with her statuette.]

[Robin... however, does not come earlier than the appointed time. Partly so as not to admit that he was rather close - the city is smaller than, say, Gotham or New York, but it's not that small. And Bryn is somebody he has talked with, if back in Atam, so, he needs to be careful.]

[He does come in in full Robin regalia - suit and tunic and cape and mask, the statuette held carefully, and settles across from her... without handing it over immediately.]

I do have one question. Does it have any magical properties?

[... what. He has to at least ask.]

[Bryn recognizes Robin as he approaches, and she smiles with recognition, though it fades after a moment at his question.

That he doesn't hand the statuette over immediately concerns her. Annabeth had given her the sword once she'd known it was hers right away. Brows knitting together, she wonders quietly why he should feel the need to ask, or even suspect...]

Mm, not in any way that would matter for anyone else here. It's of my deity, Jhirem. I take it with me when I'm away from home, and I pray with it. It's the one way I can be sure that I can always reach him, wherever I am.

[She pauses.]

Having it here means that perhaps I can reach him when I hadn't been able to before.

[The boy listens and watches her carefully. He has no intention of stealing her property, but he does have to be aware of the items of power that may affect him. Or others. Here.]

[And, yes, he's trying to discern if she's hiding information, too. But she doesn't seem to be, from what he can tell.]

Ah. I can understand that.

[With that, he carefully places the statuette on the table, ready to slide it across the surface to her.]

What would he do? If you can reach him.

[He doesn't give her the statuette still, and her eyes flick down to it a moment before back up to him. Feeling just slightly indignant, though hiding it well, she regards him carefully.]

Ask him to get me home where I belong. Ask him to do the same for any here who wish it.

[Ignoring the fact that she and everyone else are supposedly clones? Yep.]

May I have it please?

[He considers her for another long moment, unflinching at the request, the intensity of it.]

[Then he gives a small nod, sliding the statuette across the surface. And watching still, quiet.]

[Her relief is obvious as Damian pushes the statuette toward her. She grasps it in her hand and pulls it close to her chest with a deep breath. It feels the same, looks the same, down to all of the minute details.

Bryn won't pray then and there, however. No, she gifts the boy with a heartfelt smile.]

Thank you. You don't know how much it means to me to have this here.

[His head tilts sideways for a moment, in an expression that is, actually, rather Robin-like.]

No, I don't know.

[But important things have power that has nothing to do with magical. This kind of power, he can understand and use, not that any of those thoughts come through from under the mask.]

[...how odd that he simply agrees. He's right of course, and perhaps her statement was obvious.

Deciding to work past the awkwardness she feels, Bryn latches onto a new subject.]

Well, as a thank you will you take some juulan? Or perhaps I can treat you to something here?

... No. Thanks, you don't have to. It belongs to you, and now you have it. That's enough.

[It would have been more complicated if it had direct power. And it may yet be complicated, should her deity actually answer. But, stilly.]

Well, then again, thank you. [She's saying that a lot.] May I ask where it is you found it?

[She wonders if it was also found in a shop like her sword.]

[He nods, at the first part, then.]

It was in the dirt near the edge of the street. Maybe it had appeared, there, or maybe somebody had dropped it, but it looked moments away from being trampled by boots, so I grabbed it. Then it seemed to me that it doesn't fit what I have seen of art in Keeliai... or Atam, so - I brought it here to ask if it belongs to somebody.

[It pains her a bit to hear it was simply laying in the street, but so much the better that he rescued it.]

I wonder how it came to be there then. Do you know any more by any chance? Are there any popular theories among the rest of the foreigners you've heard?

[Robin shakes his head.]

Not enough data. There were no people at all, where we first made landfall, and items were found in the ruins of houses, or basement hideouts. Here, items get found in stores, on the street, in niches on the walls. There is no pattern other than they are relevant to somebody here. A plush stuffed bear included.

I see.

[Her fingers run over the statuette as she considers this.]

Did you find the owner of the plush bear as well?

I believe so. However, she disappeared soon after that, so the toy was reclaimed by the person who found it.

[Which is, possibly clear from his voice, not him.]

I see.

Well again, my thanks for your help. I ought to not take any more time of yours.

[Starting to smile, she begins to move as if to stand.]

And I mean it when I say, if there's anything I can do to show my thanks, please let me know.

[Robin slips to his feet, first.]

You don't have to leave because of me, if you're not finished.

I hope the statuette helps, somehow. I suspect this place might use some of that.

[And, with that, he starts winding his way back to the exit, what would be stomping if it wasn't so - graceful, in evading people and objects.]
