[The feed turns on to show a shirtless Finnick, hair still damp from an earlier shower. He smiles brightly, leaning back in his chair. Gratuitous chest? You betcha. There's a pause as he pops something that looks like a sugar cube into his mouth.] With more people arriving, I'm sure the strain on food resources is going to become harder for some of us. But the ocean, that's still plentiful and unharmed by Tu Vishan's illness.

For you new people, or even those who have been here a while, I'm Finnick Odair. I have a small fishing business set up. [A pause as he smiles.] Basically what I'm offering here are a couple of job opportunities. I should be able to handle a few employees, if you'd like to earn a little money and food on the side. If you like fishing, or if you'd like to learn, here's your opportunity. [He winks.] Wasting it would be a shame.

[He leans forward, chin in his hand.] You like to pick apart everything, don't you?

[You're hurting his sweet, precious feelings.] Seems to me like it's less of that and more you just looking for something to pick apart. By all means. I'm no stranger to beautiful girls picking me apart.

They're not mutually exclusive. [Though she rolls her eyes at the beautiful girls remark. And that's it, that's all it gets. ]

[Aw, he likes you, Annabeth. You're a good egg.] Are you always so confrontational?

[Percy just happens to wander by as this comes up. He pauses, tugging a piece of fruit out of his mouth and swallowing before he crouches down next to Annabeth] Yup.

[She whirls her head to look over and glare at her boyfriend, swinging her hand up at the same time to punch his shoulder.] Go away.

[Aww, young love. So cute. And violent!

Poor Percy.] You know, some people could consider that abuse.

That was nothing. [compared to other blows the both of them have taken] He's dumb.

I've seen dumber. [Like Katniss. She's pretty dumb.]

Not sure about that. His head is full of kelp.

Who says that kelp is a bad thing?

Too much of anything can be a bad thing.

[He looks thoughtful for a moment.] A few things, maybe, but not anything.

Moderation is always key. For anything. Too much of a good thing looses some of the charm.

[His nose wrinkles.] I disagree.

[Rubbing his shoulder, Percy glances up at Annabeth and then grins at Finnick] She's okay, I guess.

[Clucking his tongue.] Either you really like it when she hits you - and I can understand that - or you don't know how to properly appreciate a beautiful girl.

[a vaguely pained expression. Finnick plz. Also his arm is just going to absently wrap around Annabeth's waist here, because he's been away from her for like a whole ten minutes before now. There's a certain honestly to his voice when he speaks] I do my best.

[She makes a bit of a face, her cheeks going the faintest bit red at the tone of Percy's voice, and she grumbles at him.] Idiot. [But there's no real sign of shoving him away.]

[A bright grin. You prudish types are his ultimate favorite, Percy. Getting so worked up over nothing. And then the expression kind of falls, not out of embarrassment, but a certain longing. He tries to not think about Annie that much anymore, but he's just sort of blundered his way into that line of thought.] Good. That's the sort of thing you don't really want to let go of.

[He's grinning up at Annabeth when Finnick's expression falls, so he misses that. His own smile falters a little at the whole idea of letting go of her though, but he forces it back onto his face as he looks back at Finnick] Trust me. There's definitely no danger of that. [There's a pause, before he becomes slightly more serious, directing this at Annabeth in undertone] Don't hit me again okay, seriously.

[Annabeth doesn't miss it, and she squints at Finnick a little curiously. But then her boyfriend is dumb. She huffs up a bit.] Don't give me a reason to.

[Story of your life, Percy, not paying attention.

But the moment's passed, and Finnick has schooled his face back into the mask of a man who doesn't take anything seriously, arching his eyebrow at the two of them.] Now kiss.
