[Hello, Keeliai, it's your friendly neighborhood Atlantean princess who acts like an American college student.]

So, most of the..."satellite" is really not the word--it's basically a space station--is about forty feet underwater. There's some scattered stuff deeper, but we water-breathers can take care of rounding up those bits. If any air-breathers, especially you techy types, want to go exploring, I got Mr. Stark to whip up a few sets of breathing gear real quick.

[She holds up some scuba equipment, which seems deceptively light in her hands, given that those tanks can weigh a good 50 pounds when full.]

You don't have to worry about getting scuba-certified or anything. It's not deep enough that you need any of those weird gas mixes or that ascending too fast would kill you. I'll go down with anybody who wants and make sure nothing bad happens.

So that's what Arthur was talking about when he said there was more of us.

[He smiles slightly.] He mentioned we had good company around.

[She'd been ready to launch into the "yes it's real" speech, but apparently she doesn't need to. Yay!]

Oh, are you from his universe?

[He doesn't look like a Marvel Atlantean, or a hybrid. She grins.]

Arthur is an excellent judge of character.

[He laughs softly, he's used to big egos so he'll work with hers.] I am, me and Arthur--I've been working with him since I was ten years old. He kind of, rescued me from quite a predicament, but not as big as pieces of space falling from the sky.

[Another laugh--] He really is! I don't doubt that he was correct on all levels.

[That sounds really familiar, except Nita got rescued by the king of Atlantis when she was 14.]

He's cool. Not much like Namo--my king [oops people here don't automatically know who Namor is] but he and Mera have been nothing but nice to me since they got here.

[He smiles still, nodding his head.] Yeah, sounds like them.

They're really great, it was good to be able to grow up with them kind of being those strange parent figures that you can always shout at and say you're not my real dad, not that I even did that ... of course.

[Of course.]

I gave Betty a lot of trouble when she was taking care of me on the surface, but I never yelled that.

[Possibly because it wouldn't have worked even slightly.]

[A small laugh and he arches an eyebrow.] So you were raised on the surface?

[littlecousin]

No, I went to live there when I was 14, after my cousin rescued me from my other cousin, and he's great, but he's really not the guy you want raising a gerbil, much less a teenager.

[Royalty, man. Nita shrugs.]

[He arches an eyebrow.] Well at least you got out of there.

As long as it makes you a better person for it, that's what's important despite the uprooting.
