I... know there's people handling a list of people who find themselves here to keep track of those who disappear, but now that we know that these incidents aren't going to be isolated maybe we should think of a quick way to check if people have been found after a disaster, or who's hurt or who hasn't been seen around for days?

The number of foreigners and arrivals is growing week by week so it's getting harder to keep track on everyone at once.

People are already divided into sectors and buildings, right? Maybe just make people know their neighbors or something. If they don't want to, then they can be responsible for finding someone else to check on them.

It's an extremely comprehensive list of people that have come and gone (names included) or, failing the knowledge of their name, the suite or building they occupied, if he knew nothing more specific than that. Failing that, people who announced themselves on the network by name and have since been conspicuously absent are also highlighted in a separate column, with the length of time since their last traceable log-in marked down as well. He hands it over, looking unimpressed.]

This is a sound idea, I believe. Perhaps a system of checks that are coordinated by a central person?
