[The feed clicks on to reveal a red-headed teen with yellow eyes, who's currently peering at the device like it's going to explode.]
Okay, power button. Check. I thought this could be like that episode of The Twilight Zone where they execute people by blowing up in their rooms and that maybe someone was clever for a change and made the self-destruct button look like the on/off. But! Obviously not, because I'm still here.
I think I'm getting paranoid. It's like there's this voice in my head going -
[Bart holds two fingers up to either side of his head, so they stick up through his hair like ears.]
"Trust nothing."
[He puts his arms down, and he really drops them. They're just suddenly gone, and the camera picks up maybe two frames of the action, but even that's a little lost in a yellow flash. Bart only laughs with relief.]
Hey! Look at that, they weren't lying about that either. Now, if it would just hurry up and work all the time.
So, uh. Hi. Bart Allen. Anyone know where to find the games on this thing? I gotta pass the time until the rest of you slow down.

[Action]
[Bart nods sagely. If you're going to present a working theory on puns, you best have thought it through.]
They let him in for 'batarangs' alone. Plus, there's the whole Batman thing. Do you want to be the one to tell him he's not invited? I know I wouldn't do it. No one would.
[He follows Kon along, trying to learn this route to wherever. Obviously, the barrier goes all the turtle, but knowing the shortest way out to the edge could be helpful. When Kon stops at the beach, so does Bart. There's a split second of hesitation to follow again; he's still looking around, but he refuses to fall that far behind and picks up the pursuit again.
[Action]
Kon keeps racing towards the barrier, the faint dip in altitude told him he was getting close and that his powers were slowly starting to falter. He doesn't go as fast as he had with Nita, that sudden stop had sucked, but his movements are a little cautious. He's looking down watching Bart.]
Not that far.
[Action]
[The question doesn't need to be answered, because in the time that asking took, his powers take enough of a hit that his feet aren't keeping up with the momentum of his upper body. Bart trips and goes tumbling. He doesn't skid far enough to get knocked out by the barrier, but he's definitely woozy.]
Oh. That far.
[Bart sits up and shakes his head to try and clear it.]
Yep. Hate this place.
[Action]
Hey, I did tell you. Just a good thing I still got my tactile telekinesis that I can drag your wet ass back quicker than you can swim.
[Okay, he was still replaying the image of Bart in his mind and it had him cracking up again as he dumps the speedster on the beach. He calms down and wipes at his eyes.]
Oh man, that was killer. There's also like another mile of water until you hit the point I did.
[Action]
You did. I didn't think it would hit that fast. Thanks for fishing me out.
[He smiles a little with that. Kon could have easily made him swim to shore.]
I wonder if I can vibrate the water out of my clothes. I'm kinda afraid to try, if this is the only normal stuff I get. It's a little cold, though. We good here? Anything else I need to see?
[Action]
There's people here who make clothes, so you can get them pretty normal too.
[There's a shrug as Kon floats up and he thinks for a moment.]
Uh, just the good places to eat.
[Action]
[Bart looks at himself and shakes his head, before trying to get his hair to slick backwards.]
How 'good' are we talking? Because I don't think a lot of places are going to let me in like this. No shoes, no shirt, no service. It needs an addition: no dripping on the floor. Wanna just blaze by 'em?
[Action]
The foods better than what you expect. They have a lot of different meats here but they taste okay. I mean it might be a little harder for you cause there's the whole rationing thing.
Hope you're as good at remembering places as you are at useless knowledge. [By useless, he means the crap you could win a pub quiz with.]
[Action]
[A mildly disgusted look crosses his face. He's not happy with the rationing, but now he's wondering if he's going to accidentally eat a household pet.]
Yeah. I'll deal with it. I've got the places down. I think. Race you to the Metal Sector.
[A blink, and he's thirty feet ahead.]
You coming, slowpoke?
[Action]
You are so on! [Slowpoke? He pushes a little harder to get himself to go faster. Taking a slightly different turn here and there. Not a short cut, there wasn't really any short cuts until you going into the Sector you wanted.]
Last one there buys dinner.
