Why is no one freaking out about this? From the sounds of it, all of our powers are gone. Just like that. [He snaps. No flame appears. He throws his hands up in frustration.]

Seriously. There should be alarms going off. People should be taking blood samples and looking at ours cells. Someone should be creating some sort of system to track different.. I don't know.. thermal.. geo.. radio... something. Is it a sun spot? Aliens? We have no idea, because we're all sitting around trying.

Something's coming. Great. That might be the cause, but if it's not? We should probably figure this whole no-powers thing out before it gets here.

Well it's affecting everyone, so it doesn't make sense for it to be magic or radiation or something. Back on my world, before I came here, this guy arrived from space and he could completely cut off my powers like none of us had seen before. He changed my blood just by touching me. With the satellite crash here not that long ago and people talking about this kind of thing happening before in other cities?

I'm not saying it's the best idea, but it makes sense.

Well hero should know never rely on their powers. Yeah they're nice but whatever power you have can't get you through every time on it's own.

It could be something connected with the satellite thing. Or those weird electrical ghosts that were running around for a while there. Maybe a delayed reaction to something in them?

Though, I wasn't possessed by one and my powers are just as affected. Maybe it's some kind of emission?

Don't worry about it. Normally I can control flame to an extreme degree, including using it to fly. Now I can barely cause a spark when I'm lucky.

And that's great for people who had time to train and learn how to do things without their powers, but I didn't. I trained as a pilot and I'm great at that, but the powers are new enough that I didn't really see the point in training to be a hero without them.

Besides, who would want to? No one can touch me when I'm on top of my game.

I'm hearing that from others too, but I'm wondering if maybe it has nothing to do with peoples' distance from Clyde and everything to do with this kind of.. dampening technology existing everywhere else.
