Never seen this before. Well, seen things like it, but nothing's ever quite the same in two places, yeah? Bit rubbish that everything in here's made of wood, makes my screwdriver a bit obsolete, but still...

[He laughs, and steps back from the device, standing with his hands on his hips. He's in his suite in the Wood Sector. Pretty nice place, if you ignore the lack of sonic-ing abilities.]

Right. So. I'm the Doctor, just the Doctor, thank you, and I suppose I was brought here, same as all of you. Now who's got something interesting to tell me about their time here?

[A pause, and time to ruminate over a question that's been in his mind since he got here.]

And does anyone know what this planet's base is? Doesn't seem like most other ones. A bit harder, strange in places. What's it made from?

You're a psychiatrist, think of where you'd be without intrusive questions.

But yeah, I do, I suppose.

True enough. I try to limit intrusive questions to my patients, but it's become somewhat of a habit.

You've known the responsibility that carries, then. As long as we all cooperate, perhaps we can at least ensure the safety of the people here.

Don't mind you asking as long as you don't mind not always getting an answer, really.

[He shrugs. It's true enough. But that's an interesting proposal, isn't it? Why's this man so concerned about the safety of these people? The Doctor, well, he's concerned about everyone's safety all the time, but this man has no reason to be. Perhaps he's just one of those rare ones.

He'll give Hannibal the benefit of the doubt, for now.]

[Why is he so concerned? Well, he's just a nice guy, is all. Really.]

I suppose I sound a little optimistic for someone who was just pulled into another world, but the truth is I think it might be an interesting learning opportunity.

Learning opportunity? You mean a chance to see all these people in a not-so-ideal situation?

[He's right, but the Doctor doesn't find much enjoyment in it.]

[That's exactly what he means but not what he wants everyone else to think he means.]

No, of course not. I mean, the chance to meet people from different worlds who possess technology that doesn't exist in my own. Still a not-so-ideal situation, but that's the best I can make of it.
