[ The feed pops on to show a redhead with a smile on her face as if she's not really sure why she's playing along with people on drugs or something, but is doing it anyway. Sort of amused and wtf at the same time. ]

This is really cute. Sort of like giant Disney World. [ Her smile widens a bit like she's enjoying her own joke. ]

So. The "in between of life, dreaming, and death," is it? Really hope I'm in the life part, death isn't really my thing and I was in the middle of doing something so I hope I'm not dreaming. Do we get a ticket or something here? "Welcome to the In Between, guest number seventy-five! You're part of the Alive Group, have a great stay." [ Clearly joking; funny voice, air quotes, and all. And a tiny bit of an eye roll. She obviously thinks this is ridiculous. ]

I'm Fringe Agent Olivia Dunham so I'm not completely... unfamiliar with this sort of thing. If you don't have Fringe Division here, or don't know you do, we deal with events which are out of the ordinary. I'd say this counts. Of course I don't have a solution for this particular problem, but at least I'm not going to fly into hysterics. [ Actually, the thought of her in hysterics is funny. Olivia gives a small snort of laughter and seems to be about to end her feed when a thought comes up and she visibly straightens and lights up with the question. ]

If this is an alternate universe, do you have coffee? I'll drink almost anything, but I have a Starbucks rewards card.

[ She gives a grin, and the edge of a laugh. ]

Your secret is safe with me until I need to blackmail you.

And seriously, "shoo?" What are you, some sort of stray animal?

[HAND ON HIS HEART oh no whatever shall he do!!]

[And speaking of stray animals-]

My brother does complain about the stuff I bring home.

[And the people, that he keeps safe, and looks after when they have nothing else. That much, his family will always love him for, because he took them in, too.]

[ Okay, this dude is pretty okay. ]

[ She shifts and resettles. ]

[He opens his mouth, raises his index finger. Wait for it, Liv. Wait for the incredibly intelligent and witty statement that's coming.]

I didn't actually think that far.

[ OMG you are such a genius, Kyle. She's throws her hands up in the air and shakes her head, mock sadness and disappointment. ]

Bear status denied.

[Kyle engages Puppy Dog Eyes.]

[ Don't even try, mister. She deals with this from Lincoln daily and has built up a great immunity. In return he gets a look of mock pity. ]

I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do.

[NO EXCUSE YOU THIS LOOK WORKS ON GUY GODDAMN GARDNER. Kyle just sort of falls off his chair and holds up a hand, waving at the screen.]

Oh no! Whatever shall I do! She is immune to my secret weapon!

[And then he looks back at the screen, grinning wickedly.]

I will break out the adorable hat collection.

[ BLAME LINCOLN OKAY? And at the mention of the hat collection she gets visibly interested. Leans forward, gets a sort of "oh I really want to see this" distracted smile on her face. ]

Yeah? Let's see it.

[Ta-dah! Kyle is now wearing a construct beanie hat, looking very pleased with himself.]

[Then he cycles through a few more: a cowboy hat, a top hat, and then a floppy sun hat. All of them look ridiculous. He doesn't seem to care.]

[ By the end she is actually laughing. This is too funny. ]

Okay, okay. I concede the status of "baby polar bear" to you.

Baby? [He makes a face, but-] Fine, still a bear. I win.

[He spins around in his chair idly, before he picks up a map and sticks it to the side of the screen.]

Anyway, you're going to need this. I made one for Astrid: these buildings with crosses on them are places that have coffee.

[dunhaming]

[ Man, forget bears, you're talking about coffee now. She clasps a hand over her heart with longing in her eyes and voice. Give her that coffee map, brosif. ]

That's the best news I've seen all day, Kyle.

[ Well, best news besides Lincoln. ]

[imaginate]

[He smiles, and forwards it as an attachment to his message.]

Get settled in, and we can catch up. I've filled in Captain Lee about a lot of stuff, but it couldn't hurt to have a second opinion.

[dunhaming]

[ She receives it, gives it a look over, and gives him a smile of genuine appreciation. ]

Also, you talked about knowing Olivia in the past tense but Astrid in the present tense?

[ She hasn't been filled in yet about people leaving. ]

Oh, uhm. [How does he talk about clones.] That's better discussed in person.

[Something about his tone suggests a very serious topic.]

[ The transformation from joking and light to a more serious tone is instant and smooth. She does that transition all the time with Lincoln and Charlie. ]

I don't have much doing right now, when are you free?

[ She keeps up on her people. And as strained as her relationship with Olivia has been in the past, she likes her other self quite a bit. And Astrid goes without saying, she's really one of Olivia's people. ]

[He rubs his chin thoughtfully.]

[ She doesn't even stop to get coffee on the way, that's how important she's treating this.

Olivia shows up and knocks on the door after pausing to glance around and make sure there's nothing overtly suspicious is going on. Not that she'd necessarily be able to recognize what that is in this strange place. She left her big gun hidden in her apartment, but her pistol is definitely (and obviously) in the holster at the back of her waist. ]

[Kyle greets her at the door. He notices the gun but he has no overt reaction to it. She's armed, just like he's armed with his ring. He looks noticeably more tired than he did on the network, and he's wearing his green and black shirt with the Corps' insignia on it, one that matches his ring. However, his eyes are bright, and his smile reflects his cheer.]
