[Nita is looking perkier than she has since the Malicant mess started. She's also looking moist, since, with the return of her gills, she's been spending most of her time underwater, and only came up now to make a network post. And, last of all, she's looking concerned, because there's something that's been bothering her, and she just can't figure it out.]
I'm not even close to a magical theorist or anything, and there's gotta be someone who knows more about this stuff than I do... I have a question.
How did some of us lose things we always had? Like, I understand, sort of, how Captain America--sorry, Cap, I'm gonna use you as an example--could lose his powers, 'cause he got them from an experiment. I even kind of get how mutant powers like my ankle wings could go away, because they're genetic but they're not really normal. But my gills--and the other Atlanteans' gills--closed up! That's not special! Every member of our species has those!
What's going on with this place that it can take away ordinary things?

I'm not sure the Kedan are actually from here. [pause, er.] Or, if they are they might not be the majority species here.
video; FINE BY ME
[She'd noticed it at the time, sort of, but Nita doesn't really pay attention to non-immediate stuff, and putting it into context usually requires someone to prime the pump for her.]
But there are like a dozen sentient species on Earth, so that's not saying much.
video; fine by me too!
[Mark arches a brow at Namorita's comment. He was unfamiliar with the concept of Earth having so many species on it.]Maybe where you're from, but I can only think of three on ours. And there's only two for the third species... [Crap, Oliver's Flaxan AND Viltrumite, so that's technically four... ah well, close enough.]
video; it's like a beautiful conference call
Besides, even if they're not basing it off what's the norm on this planet, everyone I've spoken to here is either human themself or comes from a world where humans are a common species. It might be the easiest common denominator to use as a template.
video; in which none of them have the remotest clue about anything
[Just as well, really, given that both of those species' default setting is "warlike, racist jackass."]
video;
[that said, there could be an asston of Skrulls in Keeliai and no one would know.
Anyhow, he taps his chin thoughtfully] Maybe if the majority species here is human - or humanlike - it's easier to bring similar species over.

[Don't invade planets full of superbeings.]

I think there might actually be something to this. Like--I'm sorry I didn't catch your name--said, it might just be easiest to pull humanlike beings here. I'm only half-human, but the other half is.... pretty close to being human in terms of the looks and the physiology. And I don't see anyone like Allen here.
Uh, he's a friend from back home. An alien. Unopan, to be exact.
