[The feed opens on a close up of an Enjolras whose gaze is stoic as he looks upon his audience. If one knows him well, they can see the signs that everything is not at ease here. His eyes are a bit swollen, and there are some dark circles there, but in contrast to his appearance when he came to Temeraire earlier, his cravat is carefully tied and waistcoat unrumpled. There was little he could do about the tangle that his hair has become, but he has yanked it back into a tight queue for the moment and at least it is out of the way ensuring he appears, at least, somewhat orderly for this video.]
As Temeraire states, the results of our team investigation were relatively unsuccessful as they were interrupted by the creature of shadows who has sought to do ill here. My personal apologies to any who have been concerned at my absence and silence both while within his realm and upon our return here. It was not my intent to cause anyone worry or harm, and I intend to see that those others among our number are recovering as well. Accept my apologies for not having done so sooner and be aware that I intend to make amends if any of you were especially concerned or worried.
[He would add more perhaps, but doing so borders very dangerously on appearing as if he thinks he does not deserve what happened to him there, and more, for what he's done, so Enjolras stays silent on that point, starring straight ahead into the console as if he is trying to meet the gaze of any who would come to see him now.]
I ask if everyone that is seeing this, would be so kind to grant me the privilege of some time more for solitude and reflection, but please know I will come to you when ready, unless of course, your matter is more urgent, at which case I beg your forgiveness for my presumption, and should be ready to assist at once.

[Enjolras is eyedarting a bit in that way that people do when they have something to hide. But then he thinks better of it. This is Gavroche, one of the smartest people Enjolras knows. If anyone can tell something is wrong, it will be him.]

[It is somewhat tempting, admittedly, to do something like tell Gavroche, but...he hardly thinks that he should tell anyone. Enjolras does not, after all, want for Gavroche to have to shoulder his burdens here. That said, Gavroche HAS seen a lot of things and speaks some wisdom. Maybe sometime soon, he decides, but not now. ]

[And Enjolras does take that seriously. There is just the matter of... Well, obviously at best he helped influence Gavroche's death, even if he did not pull the triggers himself, and at the worst of things, well... He's nodding seriously at least.]
