As the collection and sharing of information seems to become an increasing problem the more newcomers are brought in and old residents are lost, I have attempted to collect what data is available on the network and record it in audio so that it can be understood by all. A link is attached to this post.

The information is sparse enough, and I'm afraid that I am not accustomed to this kind of information gathering. If there is data that I have overlooked, I would welcome it.

[Richard wears the mask of measured calm and confidence that he is accustomed to sporting for all official matters, so he does not let himself look tired, but he is. He is so very is. He has searched through as much information archived on the network as he could, and he now understands why his advisors seem kind of irritable sometimes. New appreciation for the clerical staff in his administration right here.]

The intention of this collection of data is, first, to have it given to newcomers on arrival, and second, to have a central location to which we can add new information and updated reports. The hope is to keep us all better informed and make it easier to establish what information needs to be gathered from what is already known. While we can give his file as asked for by new arrivals, any suggestions from those technically inclined on how to make the data more easy to access and update is welcomed. Commander Evandau has also expressed a willingness to give this information to new Foreigners on arrival, should the Emperor give consent. [If only to spare Evandau and Eshai getting the same questions over and over at audiences, but hey: it will solve problems of distribution if they can do that.]

Oh, uh, sorry: forgot to introduce myself from the start. I'm Jaime. Nice to meet you.

How long have you been here? It must've taken a while to compile all this.

It's a pleasure, Jaime. I'm Richard.

It has been two months. But I had the help of a friend, which lessened the work and made it more enjoyable. [Who has two thumbs and adores his bestie.]

Geez. That's all? {He laughs in disbelief. Wow Richard way to make him feel better about his own productivity.] You guys've been busy. Good work.

[Richard is just amused.] It's paperwork of more varied subjects than we're accustomed to.

I dunno, I get trapped in another dimension on giant turtle-back every other month or so.

[The best part is that he's only joking about the turtle part of that sentence.]

[Richard's life is moderately more normal so he just assumes that's a joke.] Then you will have to lend me your expertise.

[Jaime laughs.] First of all, if the natives on a strange alien planet try to hail you as a god? It's probably not gonna go down well later on. That one, I learned from movies, though.

[and when it happened to a friend of his, Jaime, what is your life.]

I'll take that under advisement. Conversely, I should also try not to hail as god strange aliens that arrive on my planet? [This is a joke because no one ever tried to worship Lambda. Richard thinks. He might have to check later.]

Probably best to just be nice to them without the deity stuff. Some of them are out for empire junk anyway, don't wanna give them a swelled head.

Ah, true enough. Some, I think, really are only in need of some kindness and compassion. Often, like Twinnion of the Rose Brigade, they have lived all their lives without a true friend.

[And Richard is officially in comic book land instead of the real world. Whoops.]

[A sage nod.]

I don't know who this Twinnion guy is, but there's a lot of folks out there who just need to be reached out to. Everybody deserves a chance, right?

[HE'LL FIT RIGHT IN.]

[Jaime why are you feeding into this.]

Yes, I really think so. [Everyone deserves a chance. Lambda, the Fodra Queen—Richard himself.]

[But wait: comics. Richard is containing his nerdery, but only just; the excitement is held back solely by the heaviness of the work he has been involved in.] Twinnion was the lead villain in the Rose Brigade arc of the Sunscreen Rangers. But when Hombre Noir extended the hand of friendship to him—after an epic battle, of course—and they were able to reconcile.

[. . . what has he gotten himself into.]

...Huh, I haven't heard of that one! You'll have to get me into it. [WRONG ANSWER JAIME.]

I would, but I have none of it here. [Richard does not sound brokenhearted by this because Richard has a good pokerface.

Also because not having comic books is a low price to pay for taking a vacation from endless royal duties so he's still very happy here.]

That sucks. [Entertainment on the turtle has been pretty hard to come by, since he can't read any of the books.]

You know, I wonder if there are any kedan-language comics? Maybe seeing pictures alongside the words'll make it easier to read the language.

I haven't seen any [yeah he looked] but perhaps I've been looking in the wrong places. A visual aid could certainly do no harm.

Yeah, the bookstores are actually pretty specialized. Try the wood sector.
