As the collection and sharing of information seems to become an increasing problem the more newcomers are brought in and old residents are lost, I have attempted to collect what data is available on the network and record it in audio so that it can be understood by all. A link is attached to this post.

The information is sparse enough, and I'm afraid that I am not accustomed to this kind of information gathering. If there is data that I have overlooked, I would welcome it.

[Richard wears the mask of measured calm and confidence that he is accustomed to sporting for all official matters, so he does not let himself look tired, but he is. He is so very is. He has searched through as much information archived on the network as he could, and he now understands why his advisors seem kind of irritable sometimes. The intention of this collection of data is, first, to have it given to newcomers on arrival, and second, to have a central location to which we can add new information and updated reports. The hope is to keep us all better informed and make it easier to establish what information needs to be gathered from what is already known. While we can give his file as asked for by new arrivals, any suggestions from those technically inclined on how to make the data more easy to access and update is welcomed. Commander Evandau has also expressed a willingness to give this information to new Foreigners on arrival, should the Emperor give consent. [If only to spare Evandau and Eshai getting the same questions over and over at audiences, but hey: it will solve problems of distribution if they can do that.]

Did you have any kind of ghosts or spirits back home? Just so know what I could possibly compare with.

There is a belief that the restless spirits of murder victims will not leave the place they were killed until they are avenged [fuck you uncle cedric] and at times, angry spirits will attack the living.

There were a couple of kinds. Some of them were the angry type - akin to poltergeists, if the word means anything to you. They did everything from attack people to just more malicious mischief.

Most of them just seemed to act like they were still living, trying to carry on menial tasks and labor. Some tried to rearrange furniture in the suites, but there wasn't really any ill intent in it.

[Richard considers. He knows Annabeth's face, of course; he has seen it too often in his searching not to.] In particular, if there is anything more about what your team discovered that you think relevant to our efforts, that would be welcomed. Other than that, I would not what else you might think appropriate for us all to know.

['Appropriate,' not just 'relevant,' because Richard has left some information out that he doesn't think a good idea to have public, and he is certain that others have cause to keep information private as well.]

[There's more. It's just not exactly relevant to what her team discovered in the realm itself.]

[She shakes her head.] I shared what we found in the realm, what Evandau told us after. [A pause.] The creature's presence - or at least, it has the ability to create really intense pressure, enough to affect emotions - anger, fear. It's something to look out for in the future. It could be an alert to its presence of some kind.

I'll certainly make note of it. [He frowns.] Any influence it may have on our emotions is at the least something to be wary of.

[For 'it'd be best not to stab your friends because something's in your head' reasons.]

Considering the nature of this thing, at least of what we know, it's probably safe to say said influence is generally the negative kind. Especially when you compare it to Asti's.

You refer to the effects of visiting the head of Tu Vishan? [He assumed but he could be missing pieces of this and doesn't want to draw erroneous conclusions.]

Yeah. It's a very powerful but peaceful force. Pacifistic, calming - and it lingers for some time even after you leave. If you haven't gone up to experience it yourself, you should.

I certainly shall. But from there, I see your point on the other one's ability. Would you call it equal in effect?

The turtle's peace has a longer lasting physical effect. They seemed pretty equal in the moment, though I've spent much more time around the turtle. I guess it was a little easier to fight off the pressure of the creature, but we were kind of - well, we had more of a goal. And maybe that sort of thing depends on the person.

[He nods.] I'll add it in. Thank you.
