[Cinna looks a little less focused than usually -- that may have something to do with the collection of tribbles in his lap. The topmost one (yes, the pile is multi-layered) is the tribble that he's had from the beginning. Mostly sandy-beige, with white stripes on its belly.]

I know they're dangerous, I do understand that. They'll eat away the entire food supply.

[He trails off, his fingers in the fur of his favorite tribble.]

They're just so innocent -- if cold stops them from reproducing, couldn't we make cooled cages for them? Not all of them, but some of them?

[Like this one. He wants to keep it.

He feels better with the tribbles than he's felt since he arrived on the turtle. Better, even, than when they were in the plentiful current.]

I know it's a risk. But it seems wrong to kill them all.

It's called a tribble.

[Cinna smiles a little, hoisting it better into the view of the camera.] They're... everywhere, it seems like. They reproduce rapidly.

[Casually, like that's not a huge concern for all of them.]

[ Her eyebrows lift slightly. ] Great. [ That's definitely not a trait she likes hearing about. ] And keeping them cold stops that, apparently? Any idea why?

I'm sorry. They have other traits, too, that's just the most pressing. Limited food stores, you know? And eating seems to fuel them, so to speak.]

But now he's back to petting his tribble. Baby. So sweet. So sedating.]

I'm not sure, but there's a person here -- I think his name was Dr. McCoy -- they come from his homeworld. He might be able to tell you.

It works, though. If you put them in the fridge, they seem to hibernate.

[ She's got that sort of a personality, but she smiles and shakes his head when he apologizes. ] Hey, the more I know about them, the better. [ But she nods at the rest of that. ]

Guess I'd better see about getting a bigger fridge, then. I don't think I'll be able to fit them and food in mine.
