So... this is a place between life, death, and dreaming, huh? Well, I guess I've heard of weirder things happening.

[ there's some shifting and fiddling before kara continues. randomly introducing herself to a network like this is a little awkward. ]

At least I've got some experience with the being trapped away from home thing. Alternate realities can be a huge pain in the ass like that. [ p...ause... ] In any case, is there anyone on this network that knows of a city called Metropolis? I figure if I'm going to be stuck here, I might as well see if there's anyone at least a little familiar around.

I think it's technically a turtle, Mr. Wayne. If we're going to rename it, maybe we should go with something Pratchett-inspired.

Not that I've read, unfortunately. That turtle was also swimming through space, so if there was something in the series I haven't read I don't know that it would be applicable.

[He's not surprised. Bruce has the same penchant for simply showing up at people's places when they first arrive and he has no desire for there to be a permanent record of his knowing them on the network.

Doubtless Clark's intention was more altruistic and less-- paranoid. But then, that's Clark for you.]
