01, time slowed (AUDIO)
[The audio clicks on. Jesse's a fast learner and prefers this method to potential misspellings.]
I've already been informed of the majority of information relevant to my situation. If anyone has anything to add and could get to speakin' up, it would be much appreciated. Else I will remain ignorant, which is not a state I fancy being in more than is necessary.
One thing these kedan did not seem to understand is that I'd also like to be finding a church to worship at on Sundays, as was tradition. Does anyone here know of any such place?

I am afraid there is no church in the city, or at least I have not found one. The locals are not Christian and religion does not seem to be a primary concern of most of the guests.

Don't think there's anybody ordained here, anyway.
audio;
Way I figure it, my wife and children will still have opportunity to attend back home and I've never been all that good about attending as is. If this is Purgatory, as the kedan would lead one to believe, then perhaps it is their intention that I should atone for my sins whilst I am here.

[Deep breath, and his words slow down to normal, again.]
I'll ask. If anybody's been through the bookstores for one already, I have some idea who that'd be.
audio;
Thank you kindly.

And that's no problem.
Name's Bucky. Bucky Barnes.

You a traveling man, Bucky?

Seen some roads, not as much as many. [Beat.] Not enough back home. Mostly lived in New York, there.

Re: audio; encrypted 30%
Sure, yeah. Did lots of exploring around the turtle early on, and up and about during the first landfall. Curious 'bout something in particular?
audio; encrypted 30%
Secondly, it ain't so much a curiosity of a specific nature as it is a general sort of wanting to familiarize myself with the area.

Here? There's the city, and then mostly wilderness or ruins - including mines ruins in the mountains - all to the beaches along the shell's edge.

How's the city laid out? I expect I will have need of a corner store or market, a bank, and any other important locations one new to a town might need to be acquainted with.

[Mr. Barnes sounds plain weird, nobody's ever held that sort of respect for him until he signed up and all.]
Mmm. There's four sectors. Earth, Metal, Fire, and Water. They meet in a central area, but they're pretty separate. There's markets in each section, though they specialize in different things, and banks... I guess so, though they belong to pretty much the same merchant. Never tried to have dealings with him, other than... what's been happening as matter of course.
D'you know what's your suite address? Lookin' for something in particular?

General curiosity is all.

[ no she's not volunteering any explanation for that remark ]

Re: audio;
[ She actually understood what was being asked but responded that way purposely to see if this guy was interesting. ]
audio;
How is it that you could feel them? I don't take much stock in Angels and Demons in the tangible sense as the Bible would have you believe.
Re: audio;
Excuse me, I'm quite "tangible".

audio;
I came from the winter of 1881, or near enough. I expect you're from another time entirely.
audio;
Yeah, you're so not wrong there. The year's 2001 in my head, not like it matters in turtle hell anyways.
[A shrug on her, though it can't be seen.]
audio;
The name's Thomas Howard and I'm a businessman.
audio;
[It's a pretty dry reply.]
You having any luck with that church search?
audio;
No luck with the Church as of yet, but I got to thinking that maybe that's for the best.
audio;
It's someone that's sick of humans being mean to each other.
[That's about as layman's as she can get it and she moves on quickly.]
What's with the change of heart?
audio;
And, as I told the gentleman Mr. Barnes, I ain't never been the best at attending the Lord's services as I should. So long as my wife and children can still have opportunity to do so, I will be satisfied. Meanwhile, I shall atone for my sins to the best of my abilities.
audio;
[A beat.]
I guess if that works for you. I've never been huge on religion myself. [Aside from another version of her being worshipped as a goddess, but hey.] Around here, I'd bet you wouldn't be too judged for skipping out on the prayers.
audio;
[Matching that pause.]
What is it, if I may ask, that you find distasteful about religion?
