Hello. I'm Doctor Rebecca Holiday and I'm new in... Keeliai. [Did she even pronounce that right?] I suppose that since I'm here now, I should probably try to... figure out my way around this place a bit or something.

If there are any hospitals or clinics near by, I would like to visit one of them, for work purposes. [And the nanites.] One of the people who helped me to my suite told me that I live in the Earth sector now, if that helps anything... Actually, is there a better way to get around this city rather than using carts?

If the Archipelago fleet you were with and the one I have in mind are the same, we have quite the time difference on our hands by about two hundred years...

Is that, dare I say... common here? For people to be thrown together from both different places and times?

In my experience, it's all too common. The acquaintances I've made that are closest to my own point in time, so to speak, are still several decades ahead. From what I've gathered, we spread over centuries.

I doubt I'm the one who's the furthest behind. [ Or hopes. Hopes is the word. ]

That's... incredible, actually. There's so much that we can learn from one another here.

I agree. In my time we've only just started studying the nervous system in any kind of scientific capacity, while Doctor Natu is a skilled neurosurgeon. She's mastered techniques that won't be invented for many years to come.

I don't know about Dr. Natu, but where I'm from, we've forgotten some of the earlier techniques that were much more efficient to replace them with convenience. Well, some of them anyway. I would be interested in comparing notes sometime if ever you're available.

Certainly. I'm sure that would be beneficial to the both of us — I've noticed that many techniques and skills I take for granted are forgotten by those ahead of me in time. Not just in the field of medicine, but day to day chores as well like mending a roof or repairing a door.

You're exactly right. For every step forward, it seems as if we've taken two steps back without so much as realizing it. I think we've become too spoiled in a lot of ways, honestly.

Then it's lucky that we have such a wide variety of skills present on this turtle of ours. An exchange of knowledge and skill would be most beneficial.
