[Victoria looks worried and bothered. Blame Malicant. She's had enough of horrid entities being terrible and really thought that life here would be different.

Apparently not.

She wants to be around people she knows right now. But not all of them at once. That'd be too much, even with as unsafe as she feels. Her friend Jack is having a hard day, so she doesn't want to bother him. Instead, she sends someone to him with a picture because she doesn't actually want to leave her suite.

After giving it some consideration, she settles upon one person. And anyway, she owes them tree drawing lessons.]

Dick, can you come over? I want to teach you trees.

[That's her excuse and she's sticking to it. Ignore the slight waver in her voice. It's not there.

Also, some day someone has to teach her how to filter things because this went to everyone.]

[Who cares if it's over the network to everyone? There's only one other Dick here, and he probably doesn't care about trees. Besides, Dick is the only one who knows that she's not actually teaching him about trees, just drawing trees, and why is he even thinking about this?

When he gets on, he gives her his biggest, most winningest (it's a word) smile.]

Hey, there! Of course I can, are you going to teach me about big trees or little trees?

[That's what you do, you keep her talking. Because if you're talking, you're not thinking, and this way he can get his shoes on and things like that before he has to leave and get off the console.]

All kinds. I like pines and oaks the most but we can start with something small first.

[Yes, good. Keep her talking. Her thoughts are hovering around Mama and Malicant and part of her wonders if they're the same things. But then part of her is sure Malicant is just flat out evil whereas Mama just wanted her baby back. And..okay, maybe Mama was a little off from that.

But now she's thinking about trees and things to do to not think about Malicant so...

Hang on. She's going to disappear for a moment and then come running back with the Jenga set Jack gave her.]

[Truth be told, Dick would like to get his mind off of Malicant for awhile, too. He's had enough of the whole super dark evil guy who can show up because you say his name (really, who does that anymore? So 2001), so this will be good.

He's good with kids. He's just finished lacing up his shoes when she shows him the Jenga set.]

I love that game! Of course we can play it, but I have to warn you, I'm pretty good at it.

Maybe. [She doesn't actually know. Or...remember much about Christmas. She was three when she had her last one. She sets the jenga set down, now smiling just a tiny bit.]

[With that, he signs off. He moves as fast as he can to get to her, but different sectors does mean a little bit of a time difference. Still, he's there as soon as he could get to her place. And he comes bearing some more of whatever passes as crayons here, and some markers as well.

Close enough to markers, anyway. He's looking for her face in the window.]

[She is trying her best to not frown because frowning itself is an answer and she doesn't want to answer.

But she trusts Damian a bit. Her answer, however, is vague and cautious.]

I don't like the monster that wants the eggs.

[It has her nervous and this isn't your typical small child afraid of the thing in her closet because for her, the thing was very real back home. There's discomfort in her voice and her posture.]
