[The visage of a man comes onto the screen. He is unfamiliar but fascinated by the technology of the computer terminals. However, that is not the pressing topic at hand. ]
Greetings. My name is Robert Lutece and I arrived here yesterday with my sister Rosalind. She and I are both scientists and will be converting her suite into a laboratory, therefore we have no need for the furniture in her residence. We will be offering it to whoever is interested.
[He sits and waits in front of the computer terminal, looking rather calm with his eyebrows slightly raised. They just sit that way naturally, default expression that gives a general appearance of being constantly unamused.
It's her turn to talk now. Though this would be a little easier if they were reporting from the same terminal.]

Considering how people are brought here, it would definitely be interesting to study what sort of physics this world operates on. It will be a lot of work though. [Sigh, and they don't have any of their notes.]

Yes, it would be. The level of technology available here is quite basic, at its best.
[He's working on fixing that.]

Hm. Disappointing to hear. Something will have to be done about that.
[LET US ADVANCE CIVILIZATION.]

I am working with Wayne Enterprises in an attempt to do so, since it will be easier with many of us working at this goal together rather than individually.
[Advancing civilization is much easier when you do not have to immediately sell what you reworked or created to fund further work. It also allows a wider base of potential improvements.]

Sounds interesting. I am certainly not opposed to pooling efforts, but my sister may be a bit more closed to the idea.
[Preach. Their whole science project wouldn't have been possible without funding from the bad guy. They aren't bad though. They were just in it for the science.]

Is there any particular reason why that may be the case?
[Did only the villain benefit from it? That is an important question. At least they didn't directly inspire someone to endeavor towards terrible acts.]

Last time we worked for someone... Well, it didn't necessarily end bad but it did not end well either.
[In one timeline, which they made an effort to fix at the begrudging acceptance of Rosalind, who really didn't care what happened as long as she had Robert. But Robert actually cared about the future, so.]

Reluctance in that case is understandable.
[Caring about the future is quite important.]

[Babies and stuff, world peace or something.]

[Preserving babies is always a good idea.]

[You would know, wouldn't you, Jor-El?]
