First Atom; Video
[The visage of a man comes onto the screen. He is unfamiliar but fascinated by the technology of the computer terminals. However, that is not the pressing topic at hand. ]
Greetings. My name is Robert Lutece and I arrived here yesterday with my sister Rosalind. She and I are both scientists and will be converting her suite into a laboratory, therefore we have no need for the furniture in her residence. We will be offering it to whoever is interested.
[He sits and waits in front of the computer terminal, looking rather calm with his eyebrows slightly raised. They just sit that way naturally, default expression that gives a general appearance of being constantly unamused.
It's her turn to talk now. Though this would be a little easier if they were reporting from the same terminal.]

Window between worlds... That can't be possible.
Video;
[Hello there, it's the other one.]
voice;
So you mean to open these windows again. For what purpose? Evacuation?
video; SUDDENLY JAVERT i died
Possibly. But chances are more likely the tears we would open would be exclusive to this world and only open windows to other times or dimensions here. Creating a doorway into another world entirely-- like those we have all arrived from-- would require an anchor from the other side.
voice; PLEASED TO DELIGHT also you're the luteces i had to
Say I take your word for it and this is all possible. [And to be frank, he is very willing to believe it, considering his recent personal experiences with Malicant. There is nothing beyond the realm of possibility anymore. He cannot risk writing anything off.] It is a dangerous game you're playing, trying for other times. There is the chance you open a window to war and destruction. What then?
video; we are here to bring risky science and dimensional crazy
[Unless, you know, you're Elizabeth. But they aren't and she isn't here, so that solves that.]
The science could have other applications however. Its usefulness goes beyond the mere applications it has been previously applied.
voice;
Well? Such as? I don't think I get your meaning.
video;
Well, for starters, machines that for simplicity we can call "doorways" could be placed at key areas of different sectors and networked together to create a complex but also simple transportation alternative for people who have need for brevity in their commute somewhere.
voice;
On the flip side, in the event of a disaster in which one needed to traverse the city to get to a 'safe' house, it would become a blessing. Do the benefits outweigh the risks? That is the question.]
For starters, then. [What else is on that laundry list of uses? Another dangerous question.] And will you intend it as a public transportation network? That anybody will use?
video;
If you're worried about the possible implications that such a thing would have, I assure you that it's nothing to worry about right now. We haven't even fully settled in yet.
Video;
So you're trying to build a device to leave? Or is that same device how you arrived here?
[She's going to ignore the other guy and let you two handle him.]
Video;
[Eh, let Robert deal with that guy.]
Video;
[These two... might be able to get everyone home, if they were legitimate. Since Holiday's been here, she was very little room left for doubt in anything, especially Quantum Physics.]
Video;
It took a great deal to get it up and running, though. And it seems we'll be starting from scratch here.
Video;
Or... bring things here?
Re: Video;
Mm...anything can be done theoretically.
The question is. if there is a property holding everyone in a state of quantum uncertainty to begin with, the first question is whether and how we can crack the walls.
Video;
I suppose the first step would be trying to figure out if that property exists or not.
[Don't know how they'd do that... or if Rosalind is even on board with all of this. Holiday's mostly musing to herself.]
Video;
[Actually, Rosalind is enjoying this conversation - no larking about, no stupid questions, just fact.]
I should like to discuss it over tea sometime, if you would be interested.
Video;
That sounds nice. I wouldn't mind it at all. Feel free to contact me whenever you're interested.
Video;
[She smiles - a tiny thing, but a rare one as well.]]
Video;
[It'll be Holiday's treat.]
