funkindofwicked: ([bored] 045)

[She hasn't been in a real fight, hasn't punched anyone through a wall, hasn't even found someone annoying enough that she could justify killing yet. Someone might just be bored out of her mind, to the point that Tea is willing to even take suggestions from the rest of the population.]

So besides being used for labor and expected to save the world whenever they need us to, what the hell is there to do around here? Because I'm finding a whole lot of nothing and sitting around doing nothing is not something I enjoy. The gangs around here just aren't enough to keep me occupied. [She starts to think of ways she can make her own fun when she's bored--which some people may not approve of.]

The little trip under the sea at least was something to do--before it started to get old. Is someone trying to kill us with boredom?

So I've been thinking. A dangerous pastime, I know.

Entertainment is kinda sparse here on the Turtle, which blows. We're human beings. We need stories and pretty things to keep us going. Since the day Ugg and Grugg the cavemen sat around a big fire eating their unsustainable mammoth paté, they've been telling stories. We've been telling stories. It's part of what makes us people, ask any anthropologist.

And all we have here is...this. The network. Full of gossip, and chatting with new friends, and setting up awesome beach parties, and tamale parties, shout-out to those who set up those things because they were great and a lot of fun! But it's not stories. It's not sitting around the television wondering how this season of Albuquerque Meth's gonna end. It's not entertainment. And we need some.

And now, uh...Clark Kent? I think that's his name, sorry dude, he's set up this spiffy new news radio! Which is great. We need that. But it can't broadcast news twenty-four seven, right? It's not CNN. Or even Fox and thank god for that.

So I was wondering...would anybody be interested in some scripted radio shows? Like, let's kick it old school. The Texaco Comedy Hour! Who knows what evil lurks in the minds of men, that kind of thing. I've never written a script before, but how hard could it be? Or if anybody wants to help, or do voices, or whatever.

Any interest?

[It's Julie. She's looking around the room in her suite, nose wrinkling slightly before she turns to address the device. She turned it on for a reason and she knows what she wants to say, she's just weighing her options first.]

Has anyone ever painted the walls of their suites? Are we even allowed to do that? If we are, where can I get the supplies I need?

I found a few smaller containers of paint and such but those are more for things on canvas or paper. Not walls. I was thinking...

[She turns, looking at her walls again...] Probably purple. And gold. That'd be fun.

Okay...[And she's looking at the computer again, grinning brilliantly.] That's all. Nothing exciting. Just a pointless question.

[End feed.]
