[She hasn't been in a real fight, hasn't punched anyone through a wall, hasn't even found someone annoying enough that she could justify killing yet. Someone might just be bored out of her mind, to the point that Tea is willing to even take suggestions from the rest of the population.]

So besides being used for labor and expected to save the world whenever they need us to, what the hell is there to do around here? Because I'm finding a whole lot of nothing and sitting around doing nothing is not something I enjoy. The gangs around here just aren't enough to keep me occupied. [She starts to think of ways she can make her own fun when she's bored--which some people may not approve of.]

The little trip under the sea at least was something to do--before it started to get old. Is someone trying to kill us with boredom?

[For those who’ve seen Jaime posting around the network before, this transmission comes from the Earth sector rather than the Wood. He’s moved in with his mother for the sake of convenience, even if he hasn’t technically made an announcement or anything. (Bianca herself is visible off to the corner of the screen.) He gives the camera a short wave and a little grin.]

So, uh, hey! Good to be outta the water there. [The whole reverse snowglobe thing was cool and all, but it’s VERY refreshing to actually see the sun again.] Since all the festivities are over, we thought it’d be cool to have a sort of get together tomorrow. Just something small, you know. [He glances expectantly over at Bianca.]

[She moves over, so now both Reyes are on screen. She doesn’t look angry like the last time she made a post to the network. No worries there, for anyone who’s witnessed her temper thus far.]

Considering how many here probably don’t know how to cook for themselves, [Read: She’s mainly thinking on the teenagers and kids here] I thought it’d be nice if we did something like a tamale party with everyone helping out to make them, even if it isn’t quite the season. [She gives a light shrug. Tamales are usually a holiday food, because of the time commitment involved and the fact it’s usually something to make in giant batches with everyone giving a hand in making them.]

I think I’ve figured out some substitute ingredients, so it should work out well enough. [Guess what the Reyes have been eating for the last few nights.]

Yup. [Jaime nods in agreement. He’s been the pseudo-tamale guinea pig all week. (Not that that’s a bad thing by any means. Mom’s cooking is still Mom’s cooking, even if it’s using whatever weird kedan food she’s found.)] It’s not exactly like the real deal, but it’s pretty close. We’re in EA-1A, if anybody wants to drop by then. Bring friends. [A sidelong glance at Bianca. If he knows his mom, she’s dead-set on feeding the entire turtle.]

[Oh, she definitely is.]

Bring along something to use as filling, too. That way we can end up with a nice variety and we’ll end up with enough for everyone to take home with them. There’ll be some soup at first while we wait for the first batches, but that probably won’t last long.

[She figured out how to make something like Mexican sopa with what was available pretty quickly. Bart’s random food mention was a goodsend. Tomatoes are a staple ingredient for most Mexican hispanic foods. Something that tastes like them works just as well.]

[He laughs.] Seriously, it won’t. Anyway, we’ll see you then!

[Vanessa's half turned away from the console when she turns the video on. Multitasking is a lifesaver, honestly. Her fingers are moving over the keyboard sitting next to her, playing a soft melody that's almost like a lullaby. She is a good egg mommy, okay. Turtle-baby needs pretty music.] I don't how it's possible that our items end up in this universe, but I have to say, this is way cheaper than saving my pennies for a piano or something. I can write all the music I want, but it's not the same as listening to it.

[Her fingers keep moving even as she glances up at the screen with a small grin.] Which means that I put the extra bit of juulan I had set aside to a good cause. For those of you who were interested - and anyone new! - I put down a payment for a building in Water to use for the outreach program. We can meet there. [Because the kedan in Water are still hero worshipping her, and she got a place really cheap. It's not the best, but hey. She can't argue with cheap.]

If you don't know what I'm talking about, a couple of months ago, we stumbled on this totally gross drug called Dust. And we want to help the people who are addicted, if you think that might be something you're interested in. You know, helping people, saving Asti, stopping Mally. Heroic things. [She goes quiet for a second, biting her lip.] We can meet and talk about where to start soon.

By the by, my home... did not provide a place where I could have learned how to swim. As it seems that it would behoove me to learn here, is there a place where I might do so?

I suppose I have given myself ample time to adjust to this place by now, so I thought an introduction is in order. [A few weeks too long, perhaps, but they had been busy.]

Welcome to the new arrivals, I am certain you have plenty of questions right now, but do not worry. There are plenty of people here willing to extend information without a second thought.

For those who have been here a while, my name is Diana, an emissary of Themyscira prior to my own arrival. I am aware there are some who are familiar with me [To put it ever so lightly] that I have not met on this land, or prior to all of this. I would like to meet with you if at all possible, though I may have to apologize in advance if I do not recognize you. I have... not been out of Themyscira for long. [Hopefully, that explains the problem. At the very least, they aren't keeping her homeland a secret anymore, so that might lessen the complications. Hopefully.]

For those who are not familiar with me at all, I would like to get to know you as well. The reception here has been more than just welcoming, despite the complications. I believe knowing your neighbors is essential here, no?
