 [Kitty has spent most of her day trying to find out as much as possible since getting fished out of the ocean- but at the end of it, the kedan were amazingly unhelpful, there, before depositing her in her 'suite'. It's in a tree! She spent a bit of time exploring it thoroughly, since a part of her, Wolf, was comforted to an extent by this, somewhat more than she would expect, but now that that's over, it's time to get to finding out what exactly is going on.  So, to the console! Research is always helpful, as is poking out on your own...

She hesitates at first, but given the option, she'll always go with audio- she doesn't really feel up to video right now- even though it's been years since she's resolutely avoided the idea of being on camera, and going with something similarly familiar will definitely help.

Her voice sounds nice, relatively calm, and very present- definitely belongs to someone used to working on the audio side of things.]

Are we really on some kind of mystical between-states island sized turtle with a city on its back? [A very short pause of consideration.] I guess that  question marks me as new, doesn't it? Does anyone have any more information than what the kedan say? They weren't really helpful on that topic.

The turtle's real, but I don't by the between-states thing. [Ororo scoffs at the idea of this being her afterlife.] A dream I could buy, maybe. But I'd have to ask what was in those cookies I had before bed.

If it's a dream, it's a shared one. [The skepticism should be audible at the idea of that.]

[There's a small, amused noise from her end.] That's way more possible than you think, but I don't think he'd be that weird.

[Erp. Ororo falters briefly. Well. It's not like the professor's been hiding it that much lately.]

My professor. He's respectful about the whole personal mind boundaries. [A beat.] Sort of. [There is that bit where she's suspected him of meddling in her head to make her buy into the X-Men crusade.]

Is he some sort of psychic or something?

[Kitty has encountered psychics before. Made friends with a couple, even. The idea of a psychic doing something to this level is well out of the range of what she's seen so far. She sounds curious more than cautious, though it's admittedly a mix of both.]

Or something. [Her tone turns a bit cautious.] He's not a psychic like you talk to on a hotline. More like he can read minds. [In extremely Layman's terms.]
