Okay. I'm used to weird, but this is like -- the freaking Twilight Zone. I get that the, uh, people who escorted me to what is apparently the place I'm supposed to live now kept trying to get me to calm down but... well! How ever is explaining things in terms of 'death and dreaming' supposed to calm a girl down?! Not that I'm sure they're not very nice aliens, I just prefer my Sci-Fi weirdness come with a pause button.

...And what in the name of the 1990's is going on with this GUI? [Someone is not impressed with the communication device.] It's not even portable. No way I'd have a dream without a decent tablet. At minimum.

Try being used to a holographic interface. Everything here is decidedly dated in terms of tech.

I've never thought about the ..."badassness" of it. It's simply the norm when I come from.

I think a while back there were talks of creating some sort of generator. You might look into that.

Yeah, maybe. Once I get over my freak-out phase, which I've gotta say is showing no signs of ebbing.

But it's good to know I'm not the only fish out of water here. I mean, generally. Not that I'm glad anyone else is here.
