Having friends-- or rather, people she actually chooses to call friends is still something of a novelty for her. Before Mako and Bolin and Korra the only ones she had were... you know, other wealthy daughters of other affluential families and their version of 'friendship' was generally adherent to the socialite's life.

So this is new. But not in a bad way. Asami's smile is a little bit shy but perfectly sincere.]
