[The feed begins without warning, picturing a young blonde boy sitting at his console. He’s slowly—oh so slowly, like the world’s most meticulous woodpecker—typing at the keyboard. One letter at a time. Tap. Tap. Tap. His gaze keeps switching from his hands to his screen, squinting, cocking his eyebrow, leaning in or out to get a better look, with an expression of concentration so intense it’s a wonder he hasn’t set fire to anything yet.]

[It’s obvious he’s never seen a computer, or anything remotely like it, in his life.]

[In the background, another boy is pacing around. Despite looking far more ragged than Armin, he seems to have limitless energy. He’s moving furniture, asking if Armin’s gotten the “lightsbox” working yet, switching light switches on and off, and eventually settling for carrying a lamp around.]

[They're both wearing a peculiar sort of uniform with a winged emblem on the shoulder and back, and for some reason, a very complex harness of belts.]

[Armin keeps on hunting and pecking as he was until he glances up to the monitor again, and notices something different.]

Recording…?

[He looks up out of the corner of his eye as he tries to remember what he was explained that implies. Surprise crosses his face as it returns to him.]

Ah, yes, recording-- Eren! I think I've gotten it to start showing us to everyone else!

[His friend shouts from the background]

Ask who's there! Anyone we know? Who's there?!

I suppose that's as good of a question as any... Is there anyone out there that we would know?

My name is Armin Arlert, of the 104th Trainee's Squad, presently in the Scouting Legion-- although I doubt that holds much weight here. Anyone from our "world" would be familiar with those terms though, so please, if you are, respond. And anyone else for that matter, who isn't a Kedan; what is Keeliai, exactly? Why are we brought here? What is beyond these walls? What could this city possibly be a stronghold against?

[He looks concerned, and leans back in his chair a little. There had to be some sort of threat, if they bothered with security... And he tended to think of such things in bad-as-possible terms.]

[Eren seems very grimly determined to ruin his eyesight as he tries to figure out how electricity works, switching his lamp on and off.]

...This place can't be any good if Mikasa isn't here too. [He mutters bitterly.]

[Armin sighs, because he feels the same way. He stares off blankly.]

We'll find her. It's only a matter of time.

[Armin closes one eye and leans away from the light. It was so damn bright, and the screen on the computer was already starting to give him a headache. (He was sitting too close, he couldn't help it.)]

From what I've seen, everyone can see it now if they're at their computers [He's putting the emphasis on the wrong syllables.] and if they're interested, they can say something back.

Uhhh... Hi, guys! [It's not totally unbelievable that people who don't know how to use tech would be here, but it's still kind of odd to see somebody type so slowly on a keyboard like that. Even his grandma can type.]

Keeliai is the city you're in, and the rest of Tu Vishan is beyond the walls. There's apparently an ocean around us, but going past the boundary's no good. That's about all I can tell you, sorry.

[The most complicated piece of machinery from his word is an over-glorified double-loaded hookshot from the Legend of Zelda. Please bear with him as he fumbles his way around about millennium's worth of technological advancements for the next few weeks.]

You mean this city is completely surrounded by the ocean? [Also excuse him as he sounds way more excited about that than a normal person should be.] So this is an... an island?

It's a lot like this, really. Walls all around, put up for protection. A much, much larger area of land, and protected for a different reason, but very similar.

[He climbs back up and recovers himself slowly, looking at Temeraire with the most befuddled expression of fear mixed with fascination. Then he gestures over his shoulder.]

Eren, Eren! Come here, are you seeing this!?

Huh?! [ Eren rushes over, now dual-wielding lamps. It doesn't take much to peer over his friend's shoulder. ]

[ Armin's probably gotten up to go check something out for a little bit, so when Merida speaks, there's only Eren. He stands there, gaping openly and silently for a few moments, before realizing: ]

[Considering he was told by a dragon king that she was on vacation and could address her by name, it's the first thing that springs to mind. He doesn't really know what else to address since other people seem to have done it and he seems to be just as new as these two. He raises a hand to scratch the back of his neck.]

[Anyone out here that you would know, eh? Well, there's this guy. Who is very lost and confused because what is this place even and why isn't Reiner here what is he supposed to do.

By virtue of his skills of staring at everything, he happened to notice Eren and Armin arriving into the same building as him. As they are the only familiar people here, as well as the only people who might know where Reiner is, Bertl has been spending his time since trying to decide whether to approach them. It's a terrible idea in every possible way and probably going to result in someone dying, but he doesn't know what else he can do. And anyway, they were friends once, weren't they? Maybe that will count for something.

What this means is that after quite some time, there is an even sweatier than usual Bertolt knocking on the door to their suite. He really hopes he can somehow manage to avoid this turning into a fight, but he does have his blades ready just in case.]

Eren takes one of the lamps in his hand and fucking TRIES TO BEAT THE EVERLOVING SHIT OUT OF BERTL WITH IT. ]
