TEXT
[Well... this had not been a great day for Donatello so far. He was used to strange things happening in his life after is many crazy things, but being sent into some other dimension was NOT something that he had been planning. Finding out that he was basically stuck in this world that he was being told was some kind of afterlife didn't help his growing bad mood and worry either, not to mention that he had yet to see nay of his family... if they were even here at all.
Now that he had been placed in his room, he had time to think. He certainly wanted to get more info about this place, to see if there was anything else that eh should know that he hadn't been told of already. But he wasn't going to go out in person to find out either, he would only freak people out with his appearance. So the next best thing to do would be to send a text message and hope that someone would respond so that he could figure things out.
It was his best shot.]
Umm... hi. Sorry if this is interrupting anything, but I just arrived here and I was hoping that someone may be able to help me. I just want to know a little more about this place, such as if anything really big happened that I may need to know about, and if there is even a slight possibility that there is a way out.
Also, I'm... looking for a few others. So if anyone can give me any information on these individuals, I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
[That would have to do. He sent the message, hoping that someone would see it... that if his brothers were here, they would see it.]

[Video -> Action!]
Okay. See you soon.
[The eldest brother lingers for a moment before logging off, his expression approaching fond relief; it's been so long, and it would be a severe understatement to say he has missed the other half of their "mature older brother" duo. And Donnie's technical support. And his place in team formation. And even his technobabble. It's really good to see you.
Sunset colors linger in the sky when he touches down on the building. He's not overly concerned about the number transmitted over the network; the encryption was designed by Donnie himself Besides, the lot of them are shacked up at Mike's place at the moment and Leo will undoubtedly drag Donnie along to join them, for safety's sake. He knows that Donnie likes his own space, and may choose this unit for a laboratory set up, but those are all future details.]
Donnie. [He would hug his brother, but Donatello is probably just as off-balance as Leo was when he got here, and he doesn't want to make that any worse by acting weird. But he's awfully glad to see him, and he can't keep that out of his voice.]
[Action]
The second that Leo appeared, Donnie couldn't hold back the big, relieved smile. He had been yanked out of a time where Leo had nearly been died in one night... twice. So seeing the older turtle alive was a HUGE relief for him.]
Hey Leo. [He lifts up a hand and gives a little wave.]

We're on a giant turtle, the Emperor brought us here - or, just our souls, because apparently? She can't bring our bodies through and they have cloning facilities instead? They say that if we die we get resurrected, just - transferred to a new body. I wouldn't wanna test it, though. People have seen the clones, but the whole thing is fishy if you ask me.
They want us to fight a powerful evil - but nobody knows how to beat it. You probably noticed, they don't like to tell us about it when we get here. The Emperor and her goons kept us in the dark about this thing. I don't trust them. [As far as Leo can tell, foreigners are just cannon fodder, and he has no intention of his family getting treated like ashigaru-sha. He will fight Malicant, but he will do it his way, without tossing either himself or his family into the meat grinder, clones or no. This Leonardo hasn't had the whole "no matter who you have to sacrifice" speech, and isn't quite so eager to become a martyr.]
The people she's brought in are from different dimensions, and different times, too. Asti - that's the big guy [Leo taps the roof with his foot, indicating the gigantic sea turtle beneath the city], said something about all times existing at once? Sometimes people disappear, and he says they just go back home to whenever they came from, and – "all will be as it was."
[He smiles at Donnie, whose track record is a good example.] You were here when I arrived in mid-April. And, so was Raph. [Whose absence still bothers him, and the smile falters a little, but he's too happy to have Donnie back for Raphael's month-long absence to drag him down at the moment.]

Other dimensions and a giant turtle, okay he could buy that. The fact that he had apparently been to this place before but lost his memory of it didn't sit well with him, especially if Raph had also been here and also vanished. And mid-April? But Leo had still been there when he left. So... was Leo pulled form another point in time?
He shook his head, even for him this was confusing and he was too tired to try and figure it all out. On the upside, Leo was here. At least one of his brothers were here. But he still felt bad for having apparently have left him alone.]
Leo... I don't remember any of this. But... I'm so sorry that I vanished on you guys. I guess I can't promise that I won't again, but I'll try not to.

Yeah, I think if anybody could do something about it people would check out less often. [Not to mention, Raphael would have left evidence of a struggle if he had any influence at all in leaving. Mikey wouldn't have gone willingly, either. Not to mention Big Leo's brother.] But thanks.
Anyway, we're probably from different times. The last thing I remember is the explosion at the World Genome Project… And that Justin thing. [And Karai betraying him. Leo still feels awkward about that entire business, because he personally never got a chance to explain and apologize. But the last time he was here, Donnie had come from a few hours later, and it seemed like the issue had been settled. Honestly, he's happy to leave it there.]
What about you? What's the last thing you remember?

As he listened, Donnie couldn't help but raise a brow. The World Genome Project? That had been so long ago now to him. That meant that Leo didn't know about a handful of things that had happened since then. How was he going to explain this? And if was after the explosion, then it was before Leo explained to him, Mikey, and Splinter about Karai. Ho boy was this gonna be awkward then.]
Oh, that... yeah I'm form a different point in time then. I'm from a few months after that. The last thing I remember was us blowing up this giant Kraang ship called the Technodrome. We took out the Kraang;s leader with it.
[And you nearly died twice. he almost said that, but he stopped himself. He didn't even want to think back to that moment that felt like mere hours ago to him. Not at all.]

[Leo's beak splits in a delighted and incredulous grin. From his point in time, that accomplishment seems like a pipe dream.]
That's incredible! So that means we save the world, huh. After you get settled in, I want all the details. [So he can repeat them to certain people he hopes will be suitably impressed.
His eyes narrow slightly; Leo is often to self-absorbed to pick up on the fact that something is troubling one of his siblings, but he's keenly aware of the time gap. And having experienced the disappearance of all three brothers out from under his nose, he's done an extra portion of worrying recently. It boosts his awareness.]
Everything... go okay?

[Donnie hesitated to answer his older brother's question. He wasn't sure how to answer that. What had almost happened was still very fresh in his mind. As great as it felt to have saved the world, almost losing his brother had been absolutely nerve-wracking for him. He wasn't quite ready to come out with that part yet.]
There were... a few problems here and there... but it's okay, we won in the end and we all got out fine. So it's nothing to be worried about Leo.
[Yeah, as if that was going to stop him from worrying. But it was worth a shot.]

Glad to hear it.
So, did the locals give you their song-and-dance about getting a job? [Leonardo still finds the concept somewhat laughable, although he has engaged in barter which in the end is a similar accomplishment. The idea of punching a timecard – not to mention being in a predictable place every day – goes against every grain in his carapace. As for employment that utilizes both his skill set and allows for stealth? He hasn't found a single one that agrees with his conscience, and the job market for protective escorts has no shortage of competition.
They've always scrounged just fine without much money, and it works here too.]
