video; hi iorveth's back and he still hates u
[ Look who’s back, and while elf-man here hasn’t seen network posts for the last month, he sure as hell did get word from Una and Vanessa that you guys were shooting your mouths off about that thing he told you guys not to shoot your mouths off about and now everything sucks and he hates you. More than he hated you all before. Aka: Iorveth is pissed because it’s a day that ends in Y, didn’t you miss him? ]
I’d like to give a heartfelt congratulations to those brilliant few who invited our enemy to our doorstep. Well done, you incredible imbeciles. [ This complete with Iorveth Patent douche clap.
Talkin ‘bout everyone that said Malicant on the network after he goddamn told you not to, and after everyone argued that him keeping it to himself was a terrible thing to do. For this exact reason, the same thing he’d told everyone. You’re all morons and I don’t trust the vast majority of you to keep your goddamn mouths shut.
He’s blaming you for this, Kirk. ]
I sincerely hope the beast gets to you first, when the attack comes. [ there’s a serious rage here - this is why he fucking hates people. ] I’d do it myself, but I have more pressing matters to lend attention to than flaying you alive and hanging your carcass out in the open market. Oh for the lack of leisure time.
[ Spat, because yeah, that would be fun for him. Moving on.]
Those who know they have my trust should meet to speak with me where we have before. [ that burnt out village they had their last meet up in - lookin’ at you, investigation sneaky team. ] We must discuss what’s been found.
[ Not even bothering making that private (the part that there’s a discussion and there’s also something important he knows), because he’d like you all to know that yes he’s withholding important information again, and there’s going to be zero chance of prying it out of him this time. Not like before. ]
Yaha, Aisha - come to my home.
[ and his private treehaus better still be there :| end feed ]
[[ ooc; feel free to action thread him at the burned out village place they had the last investigation team meeting /o/ ]]

voice;
You really did... I thought you had ... left me, too.
voice;
It wasn't by my choice, but an apology doesn't cover it.
Are you well?
voice;
Physically, I am very well. [ ... Never been well mentally, so. Aha. ]
voice;
Where are you?
voice;
I am in my room.
voice;
I'm coming by. [ :| not a question. ]
voice;
You will? I am most blessed, it seems.
voice; > action;
once he shows up, it's with all armor and weapons and whatever else still attached (he really doesn't go into the city with anything less), and he gives a short knock while he turns to watch the area outside Yaha's suite, eyes on those passing by. ]

He sits at the device which allows him to speak to everyone so easily. Yaha found when he became aware of the other elf's absence that he had no words for anyone. Not even to comment on his passing. If he says nothing, it means it is not true. It means that he can ignore reality that he is once more alone. For a little while anyway.
Odd. He was sure his reaction would have been to just start trying to kill the people here. Well, life is full of surprises.
And he stands up immediately at the knock on the door. His smile feels real, even though he is certain it is not, as he hurries to throw open the door. Smiling up at Iorveth, he takes a step back before wiping at his face. Ah, crocodile tears. To guilt the other elf to never leave. To pull him closer to him. No, it is not just sweetness that he offers but a chain that he hopes to tie around the other and keep him forever bound. ]
Iorveth...

He'd seen a lot of pain, tragedy, and loss - whole villages burnt, children watching their parents massacred, wives mourning husbands and the reverse, but it had always been something more second hand. It's never been over him. His men cared for him, of course, but they knew what Iorveth was and knew that he'd just off a cliff if the situation called for it. When he would vanish, they would manage, and if he returned, they'd welcome him.
They also weren't so completely alone. None of them were the last of their kind - the single one at the end of a legacy waiting to fade away as well, and as he realizes that Yaha had just felt this twice. ]
Squass'me, my friend. [ 'Forgive me' is all he can think to give, stepping forward to place gloved hands on Yaha's shoulders, expression strained. ] You've suffered.
no subject
And yet I make you suffer with me. [ His own apology. One he is not sure if he means. His hand lifts to wipe away some of his tears. They feel real, but he does not feel the pain in his chest. Nothing that makes breathing difficult, beyond what he forces. No, he is happy that he has this one, and can cling to the idea of what it means.
No more than twisting the emotions. Yaha promises himself that much. No more than that to this one. Because he is all that he can cling to of the past he knows so little about. A past that this man does not even share. The legacy of his own people is dead, but he has carved a new one. One that will bleed for centuries through pages and ensure that they are not forgotten. But still, he will make Iorveth's culture and world, his own, like some parasite. ]
For that I am sorry. You should be welcomed with smiles and fanfare. Right?
no subject
It's not a hardship when you suffer with friends. [ With the way the world is, the cruelty from where he is from and where Yaha is from, everyone carries trauma with them, and when one suffers, so do the other, but grief is always an easier burden to bare when you have others to share the weight - so too with suffering. He laughs that the sentiment of smiles and fanfare, shaking his head. ]
It would be the first time in a century. [ Usually 'Iorveth's coming to town' means 'move the fuck out of town', so, lol, geddit. Well, anyway, he's moving on, stepping farther into the house with a hand patting Yaha's back. ] Come. Tell me what I've missed. How have you kept yourself busy?
no subject
[ Yaha moves out of the way so that the elf can enter. His head turns quick to ensure that his little children are underneath the bed and out of sight. Letting out a soft sigh, he turns back to Iorveth with a slight smile. ] The first in a century. Then I am happy to be the one to start.
[ And he brings a kind smile as he claps his hands together. A step back as he bows slightly at the waist. ] I am glad that you have returned with no injury to you, m'lord. [ Little ways to tease even as he keep his voice soft.
Yaha frowns at the question about what he has done to keep himself busy. Harassed men, and cowered at the thought of the waters coming to drown them all. For even if he is dead, he does not want to suffer such a death. ] I did nothing to note. Just tried to think of what to do with myself.
no subject
(Sob, Iorveth, you know so little). ] Thank you, thank you. It's good to feel welcome. Especially by those of your blood.[ Because fuck what world Yaha comes from, Iorveth's decided their race is still the same. Elf is elf, and Yaha has no one left to call his blood anyways. ] M'lord. [ He snorts, noting the teasing tone and shaking his head. ] If the dh'oine royals heard you saying that in my world, they'd near shit themselves.
[ One, because since when to elves have lords, and two, since when did Iorveth get a kingdom and how big is his army. He frowns, turning to him. ] Have you been speaking with the others here? A good half of them are useless nitwits, but there are a few worth the time.
no subject
But no -- he shakes his head a little. He already decides to cut pieces from him by being pathetic. But no so that the other elf would feel disgusted to know him. There is a fine line and he must be careful in walking it. ] Dh'oine? Is that the name of the region?
[ A beat. ] There are so many humans here. What if they do not like me? What if they decide to be cruel?
