14 ❄ ( VIDEO )
[ Guess whose internal almanac confirmed that today is officially the first day of Autumn? That's right, this guy! Who's currently bouncing around his treehouse like an over-caffeinated grasshopper while Baby Tooth peeks in the corner of the console screen with an expression like welp that's Jack for you. Whether viewers can perceive them, especially the newer arrivals, will remain to be seen. ]
WHOOOHOOO! Goodbye Summer, goodbye! Have a good vacation! Don't hurry back!
[ And then with a final whoop of joy, the feed turns off! Yeah, that's all he wanted to share. ]

[She ponders if a bon fire would be allowed on the turtle-- BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY.]
Baby Tooth? Is she some sort of faerie, then?
no subject
Yes, she's one of Toothiana's helpers... the Tooth Fairy.
no subject
[Yup. They bury teeth back home.]

Oh, seems like.

I have t'wonder if we really are from th'same worlds then, just ages apart.
[Seems Mer's been feeling a bit melancholic the past few days, even if she hasn't wanted to express it at all. She realizes her somber mood and does her best to shake out of it with a smile]
So, y'really want t'have another celebration, after all th'ones we've been havin' already. Seems a bit excessive if y'ask me.

Billy mentioned I could try to do something Thanksgiving-like when it gets closer to the right time.

[Pre-American Colonization. Right here.]

A holiday that focuses on celebrating a bountiful harvest and sharing it with friends and neighbours. Families get together and eat big dinners and everyone's happy. Where I'm from, it started being regularly celebrated every year from about... a hundred and fifty years ago. Err, from the year it is at home. But the very first one was held by Pilgrims and that was about a hundred and fifty years before I was born... which makes it about 400 years ago, at home.

That means it started in the 1600's--Yeah, another thing she wouldn't live to see.]
I feel so old.
[Don't mind her grim look (It really is more playful than anything else)]

Want to help me set it up?
no subject
I suppose I can help. What's in it for me?
[SHE'S TEASING I SWEAR.]

Still not there
Aye, it's a wee bit strange that she'd try t'do that, but that's mum for you. Always tryin' t'solve things she doesn't have to.
[NO MER STOP TALKING. REIGN IT IN.]
Done. 8D
[That was surely not suspicious at all. TOTALLY.]

Too bad y'can't come t'DunBroch and visit us. You'd see just how much attention she likes t'give all of us. She'd probably make y'dress up in a kilt and participate in th'games.
[actually, she gives that another moment of thought--]
Nevermind, that'd be my dad. Mum'd probably try t'teach y'how t'be a 'proper lord'. [Her back straights at those words, as if to imitate the posture her mother tried to make her have.]
no subject
Games sound like fun. Not sure even your mother could turn me into a proper anything though.

[....and that is actually kind of true, given the circumstances.]

If th'great Jokul Frosti has nothin' t'offer me, then it's a sad day for magic.
