[ When the feed comes on, Isaac is giving as close a smile as he can. He's not a grinning guy, so it's somewhere between a smirk and a genuine smile. He's also back in his own body. It's a good week. ]

Question. Is anyone sick of having to be in one place to check messages and send them? I don't know about you guys, but I miss phones. And texting. Texting made everything so easy. [ Not to mention, it kept people safe. Instantaneous danger alert, natch. ] Anybody able to come up with some sort of phone prototype? I'd ask if magic can convert a phone or something - cause there's magic here - but, mine is still in the cradle of the car I was driving. So, I want the next best thing. I'd even say some sort of weird telepathy thing could be cool but nobody should be inside my mind. And I don't care what you're all thinking.

[ Also, gross, being inside someone's mind. Switching gears. ]

Also. I feel like my circle of social interaction is limited. No offense to people from Beacon Hills, but I'm used to the small town high school atmosphere. Even being infamous was better than this. So, I'm looking for some friends. I have one really, [ A beat as he considers this ] really good friend. [ Because, what is he going to define right now? ] And I think I had a friend who I pissed off and then there's Erica but there should be more, right? That's what being a teenager is about? Friends and stuff? Since I can't go to school, I want the school experience.

Also, sports. I play lacrosse - if anybody knows what I'm talking about. And thanks to gym class, I've played everything from badminton (no) to basketball (sure, I'm tall) - anybody into organizing something? I even ran cross-country. So, finding some guys to run with. Could be cool.

[ He has all this excess energy, sue him. ]

Also - parties. Specifically, raves? Clubs? Anything like that here?

I know why we were brought here and the name we can't say and all but, am I the only person who thinks this place doesn't suck? Discuss.

[Oh, Isaac. Erica's never seen that look on your face before, or heard you sound that way. It's a little weird for her to hear it in context of Scott but in the end, Isaac's her friend. Hell the only real friend she has at this point. He sounds happy so she just grins a bit more and nudges his side with her elbow.]

Really nice. [ His eyes meet hers. Is that what she wants to hear? ] It was kind of awesome.

[It's not that she wants to hear (because she doesn't want to be That Girl who is single with a tub of ice cream while hearing about all of her friends hooking up and finding awesome boyfriends/girlfriends for themselves) but well, she wants to make sure that Isaac is happy. He's the main person on this turtle she gives more than half a damn about and so she wants to be sure that "I didn't screw it up" and "nice" are just understatements.]

What did you two do? I mean, you know, where did you go?

[ He appreciates her feeling that. ]

We went to The Brazen Turtle. Stiles was not there. And we had dinner. He had this private room reserved. Which is impressive since we decided to go on a date like, ten minutes before we got there. But, it's Scott so not that surprising?

[Oh.

That's...really nice actually. Erica can appreciate that thoughtful arrangement of some privacy during what was bound to be a potentially awkward situation. First dates are hard enough and up until this point neither has gone on a date with another guy so. Dammit Scott you earn points for that.]

Must have flashed the owner those puppy dog eyes or something.

Don't know. It was ready when we got there. Like he'd made a reservation, and knew we'd be doing something that night. Scott really thinks things through. [ Which is not really what Isaac does. ] Do... you wanna hear about this?

[No. Yes. Maybe. It's not that she's so attached to Isaac that it hurts to hear. She hasn't lost him to anyone or anything like that. She can be a big girl and start getting used to hearing about this now. If it gets awkward well, they have some things to smash up soon, don't they?]

Well it's what's happening in your life, so yeah. How did dinner go once you sat down?

Awkward at first. It's not like I go on dates. Or, know what to do. But, Scott is... Scott. And we uh -- kissed.

Sounds like what you do on dates.

[Not that she'd know. She'd never been on one herself. Too busy being sickly and teased or werewolf-ing around town.]

Was it like you hoped it'd be like?

It's not like I sat around thinking about dating a lot. Or, dating Scott. But, yeah, it felt like how it would be dating Scott McCall. [ He gives her another look. ] I think I'm dating Scott McCall.

[Erica laughs a bit at that, casts him a look out of the corner of her eyes.]

Can't say I'm surprised. Saw that coming before you two did, I think.

[It occurs to her that Isaac's done what she once told Allison she'd do. Isaac's got Scott, as much as another person can be "taken" or claimed by another. She wonders what Allison's reaction to that would be, finding out Isaac and Scott are dating.]

Yeah, right. [ What, really?

He tries not to think about Allison. Partly because they were maybe becoming friends, partly because he also had an attraction to her - still has - and partially because it makes him feel like he has to live up to something. ]

[Oh come on Isaac.]

You didn't? I showed up and you two were all sleeping in the same space. Could smell you two all over each other as far back as the beach party. Plus the wrestling? Baking together?

[It's also in part that Erica never saw them grow together as friends. One minute they'd all been tentative allies. The next Isaac was living with Scott and being all buddy-buddy. Or more.]

The baking together was something to do. And the wrestling -- we did that while we waited for the cookies to finish baking. [ Wow Isaac, how does that even sound. ] The beach party? All the way back then? [ Was it that obvious?

Erica's missed out on months of events. And they've been here for two or three now. Altogether, Scott's been his friend for a few now. ] How would I've seen it coming? I'm not... good at this stuff. It doesn't happen to me.

[She nods. Yes Isaac, it had been that obvious. At least to Erica, who reads into things that way more often than not.]

Doesn't happen to me either but I think it's easier when you're outside it all anyway.

You two going to go out again?

I left him a message.

A "I had a great time, let's do this again" sort of message?

A, sorry I called you a really good friend in my broadcast, message? I told you I'm not good at this.

[Erica facepalms. She forgot about that bit.]

Did he reply yet?

I don't know. I haven't checked my messages. I didn't know what to call him. He is a really, really good friend. Who I like kissing.

Do you think you two need a label at this point? I mean, after your first date is that a conversation you're going to have?

[It might sound fast to someone older, more experienced, but it seems normal to Erica. People get into relationships quickly when they're younger. They happen and end rapidly and well, it makes sense that Isaac may need to talk to Scott about it.]

I don't care? It's not why I said what I said. I felt bad. It sounds like I only see him as a friend so I had to say something.

[Erica holds her hands up, a brief defensive gesture.]

Hey, I'm not judging. I'm just curious. I wouldn't worry too much though, I mean. It's Scott. He's one of those nice guys who doesn't fly off the handle over little things, right?

He is. [ He nods. ] I just don't wanna mess this up. Especially before it starts.

[Well, relieving some stress bashing some lights into smithereens might help him today.]

I get that. Don't think you will though, I mean. You're you. He's Scott. Not like it's me or something.

[Because of the four of them in Keeliai, Erica feels certain she's the most likely to fuck up a fledgling relationship in twenty-four hours or less.]
