[Oh god and seeing her there is like a stab to the chest because it hasn't been enough time for him to have totally gotten over what happened. He's pretty sure that he never really will. Not completely anyway. He swallows and Yue can probably here it as he gets to his feet.]

Water Sector as well. 1A.

[He pauses a moment and bends over so he's level with the screen.]

I'll come and find you!

I'm in 2A, we aren't very far from each other! [At all, really.]

I'll meet you halfway! [And then the video goes off and Yue immediately moves to head out of her suite. If Sokka is here, then she doesn't want to wait to find out if it's really true.]

[With the video off, Sokka commences freak out dance number three. This consists of him jumping up and down making strange noises and motioning to the screen and then hopping from foot to foot before casually stopping and smoothing down his hair and then running to the door. He yanks it open and runs out of it, looking over his shoulder as the door shuts behind him and then along to where he thinks 2-A would be.

In his mind, he's still freaking out. No way! He happened to come to a place like this and Yue was here. Here!]

Yue?

[Once Yue arrives, she can't help smiling.]

Sokka!

[There's no hesitation as she runs over and hugs him. With everything that has happened, there really aren't any words for just how glad she is to see a familiar face. Especially his.]

You're here. [You're actually here.]

[No, his eyes aren't a little bit watery what are you talking about. When he sees her, his heart skips a couple of beats and when she runs towards him, his arms are out. As soon as she's close enough his arms are around her and he's hugging her close, burying his face against his shoulder. His eyes are squeezed shut and she's there. Here! Right in his arms. Not floaty and real and there's heat and there's scents and no that's not a sniff because you're hearing things.

One of his arms goes to the back of her neck, just at her hair line and he leans back enough to see her face, Sokka can't wipe the smile away that spreads.]

You're real. You're here! [And he moves in for another hug his words come out muffled as he speaks.]

Missed you.

[That's perfectly fine. As it is, Yue's eyes are starting to water a little bit, too.]

I missed you, too. [It comes out as a relieved laugh. Yue may have been with him before she was dragged out of the ocean, but she missed him. She thought that was the last time she would ever be able to speak to him, or hold him, or do anything with him. Perhaps she could watch over him in the future, but... it wouldn't be the same.

So yes, she missed him.]

I... [She hesitates for a moment, thinking about her encounter with Asami earlier.]

[He doesn't want to have to stop holding her. He thought that he was over it more than he actually was. It was a bad thing and he never expected to actually be with her again like this. This was a dream. This was something he told her every night he could see her. 'I wish I could be with you. I wish you were here.' There meeting had been brief, but she'd already meant a lot.

He smiles at the fact that...this is Yue. And then she's asking about what was going on back home and he's not sure what to say. They weren't really that much closer and it was just a big waiting game right now.]

We were in the Fire Nation and I got lessons from a swordmaster. We're still trying to stop the war though, but Aang still needs to learn firebending.

Then he's already mastered earthbending and waterbending? [This is good. That means they're getting closer to stopping Ozai. And she smiles at the news of Sokka finding a swordmaster, too. He was a strong warrior, and Yue is certain that would help him become even better.

Eventually, though, her smile falters. She hasn't told Sokka what time she's from, yet.]

Before I was brought here, I was with you.

... In the Spirit Oasis. [It hurts to say it outright, but her tone should make what she's implying clear enough.]

Yeah, Katara taught him and then we found a girl, Toph, she came with us and taught him how to earthbend.

[He's feeling pretty good because a lot of things had been going well for them. A lot of hiccups, but they were getting there. Slowly but surely. The word Suki and Piandao had told him really stuck in his mind.

He sees the faltering smile and he worries. It's not a look he wants to see on her, she shouldn't have to be sad. And then...his eyes lower for a second or two and his shoulders sag a fraction.]

Oh. [His mouth and throat are suddenly dry and he has to swallow. His chest hurts from hearing that she had just...Sokka shakes his head and brings both hands to cup her face with a smile.]

You become the Spirit and we win. [She had to know. Had to know that her sacrifice hadn't been for nothing.]

[She had heard the same thing from Asami, but admittedly it means more coming from Sokka. He was there, and he saw it happen.

The knowledge that her sacrifice wasn't in vain is something she'll always be grateful for.]

... Good. I'm glad. [Yue may not be able to live her life. She may not be able to grow older, or raise a family of her own, but that's just how things are. Restoring balance to the universe was more important than living a life she could have had. Besides, that life was never really her own, anyway. Yue was just giving it back was she had borrowed.

She sighs and shakes her head before looking back up at Sokka. Yue's here, and so is he. She should try and focus on that, for now. She hugs him again.]

I'm so happy you're here. [Even if he shouldn't be here, she's still happy that he's with her in this place. It's probably the only selfish thought Yue will allow, right now.]

[Sokka is smiling for her, a genuine smile, and when she hugs him again, he holds onto her. Fingers almost starting to grip against her, though not tight or anything, more to keep the confirmation that she's there. He won't wake up and suddenly she's not there. He sighs and moves one hand to the back of her head.

Also after things that had happened, selfish thoughts were something that was okay. Well, Sokka kind of thought so.]

Same, Yue. I'm gonna stay here, k?

[They said he couldn't really leave and although he didn't want to believe it, something was just...okay.]

Hey uh, have you looked around any?

[Yue nods. She's glad Sokka wants to stay. Even if their suites are not particularly far from one another, the knowledge that he's nearby isn't as good as just being there with him.]

I've only been exploring the Water Sector so far. I haven't actually had a chance to visit many other places yet. [Though she's curious to see what the rest of this place is like. The fact that this sector is similar to her tribe is comforting, but it would be interesting to see just what else is here.]

[Sokka steps back and takes Yue's hands into his, giving them a slight squeeze and then lowers them, still holding.]

Me either. Not even had a look around here that much.

C'mon, we can go check places out, see what there is to do. Maybe see what kind of food they have. That'd be nice.

[Like the meat. It better be tasty.

Sokka lets go of one hand and holds the other, wondering which way things were.]

I'd like that. [Exploring, finding food, or whatever. At any rate, Yue's sure she'll enjoy it.]

I suppose this means we can finally do an activity together. [Grin.]

[O-Oh. His cheeks colour at that and he smiles visibly straightening and gives her hand a squeeze. He clears his throat and nods.]

Worth the wait I think.

And now we don't have to wait to see each other. [Yue gives his hand a gentle squeeze in return and starts to walk. She isn't sure where they're going, but there isn't really a goal destination here, right?]

[Sokka's still a mixed bundle of nerves and total happiness with a mixture of mind blown. He's freely holding Yue's hand and they're walking along together. He likes this. He likes it a lot and he links their fingers together. Okay, Sokka is totally now a hand holder and he is fine with this.

The area around them was great and reminded him of the Northern Tribe, but he'd seen a little of it and was interested in seeing some more and with Yue it would be fun.]

I don't know if this sounds weird or not but before coming here, I'd always talk to you.

[Not necessarily weird, but certainly confusing. She's the moon in the time Sokka is from, isn't she?]

You did?

[Sokka's face may have just gotten a little redder, but he nods and looks to her.]

Didn't matter what kind of night it was, if I could I'd say hello. Sometimes tell you how things are going even though you could see it, it's always better when someone tells you the story.

Oh.

I'm sure I appreciated hearing your stories, even if I couldn't actually tell you. [Yue may not be the moon yet, but she knows she'd always enjoy talking to Sokka... although it would probably be a very one-sided conversation.]

I like to think you did. But here we can actually have conversations. I'll try to keep them a little more uh...interesting.

Oh hey, so will we get something to eat?

[She smiles. Whatever conversation Sokka would have in mind, Yue is fairly certain that he'd find some way to make it interesting.]

Oh... yes, that would be nice. [Right, that was part of the reason why they went walking in the first place.]

[He smiles and leads her on to go and find somewhere that they could eat and try out the food here. It was kind of like back home with how places looked, so maybe it would be similar.

They go a little further in to the market area and he looks for stalls.]

See anything that grabs your eye, I'll get it, k?

All right. [It isn't very long before she picks something out - she's getting pretty hungry, after all.]

It have to say, it's... comforting that this place is similar to the Northern Water Tribe. [Not similar enough for it to really feel like home, but it's better than being stuck in a completely foreign environment.]

Yeah it makes it kind of easier I guess. Bet they have similar kinds of food as well. Might be asking a bit much but hey, you never know, right?

[It's better than it resembling the Southern Tribe which is...kind of barren. At least it's not as jarring if it had been a different sector.]
