It's quite upsetting, I believe...

[He pauses for a long moment, thoughtful, before sighing. Courfeyrac has painted a cat's nose on his and whiskers... And has somehow managed to procure a pair of cat ears.]

I may not understand this supposed modern concept of Hallow's Eve... But I am thoroughly depressed that my greatest disguise was the woman's body I found myself with just one month ago. I'm afraid nothing can ever quite live up to that again.

[Wrinkling his nose thoughtfully, he scratches just above the paint and shrugs.]

Regardless, I'll just have to try harder from now on. Nothing ever goes quite like it should, does it?

Suffices, yes... But it's not nearly as fantastic as being a woman was.

[Enjolras is shrugging, and there's a smile hinting at the edge of his lips there.]

I might turn into a woman at a later date, but it will not be Hallow's Eve. Thus, not a good disguise for the occasion....

And what are you dressing as?

Well, no, that IS true enough. But you can suffer through and still keep faith, I'd guess.

[And okay, that's a genuine grin Courfeyrac is getting now. And then, in matters of his costume, well.]

[And he's look at him for another moment before breaking into a fit of laughter.]

Of course! How did I not realize this? It's so obvious!

Well. They did say to dress as anything I wished to.

[Enjolras is trying for, and totally failing at, innocence here.]

[His laughter subsides and he just shakes his head.]

I see. And somehow I'd expect nothing else of you.

[On the bright side, at least he is not dressed as...

No wait, there really IS no bright side to almost anyone Enjolras might pick to create a costume of, is there? That's...slightly horrifying at best. Still, he could have gone with dead aristocrat complete with red ribbon around his neck to symbolize beheading, so at least there is that small mercy.]

Would I have made an effort for anything else?

[A tiny, but present grin.]

[He is thankful for that, but there's always next year for such a costume... And Courfeyrac has no doubt that he and Combeferre at least would be roped into joining...]

I'm sure you would have, it just depends on what... And there are very few others in that case.

[That WOULD be enjoyable, actually. It's something to file away at any rate. On some occasion, this will come up. Just watch. ]

Fooling Pontmercy does not make a disguise "excellent", I am sad to say.

If I had longer to change my mannerisms, it could have been the best disguise.

You take it pretty well for a guy who spent a week as a chick. Do 'incidents' happen a lot around here?

Incidents happen quite often, though not to that extent.

I take things as they come. There was no reason to be upset over it when I could experience something I never imagined I'd be able to.

[Ric actually thinks there's a lot of reasons to be upset over it, and he thinks this nonchalance is stupid.]

I paid little attention to who was responsible, to be perfectly honest... I believe it was a brunette, but she was younger and didn't wear a lot of red.

No, I do not believe that was her name. It starts with a Z, if I remember correctly.

[A bit morbid, but Abigail's painted blood across the scar on her neck and put make up on so that she appears dead.]

[He wasn't expecting this, so it does startle him briefly. After a moment he smiles slightly.]

Ah-- yes, quite. I can't imagine that would have been a pleasant experience by any means.
