There's a large book open on the desk next to him... from this angle, it's possible to see that there's been a sheet added, and crayon visible drawn on it. ]

Victoria's gone home. Korra and I were going to get her some warm clothes before these vouchers came out so I wanted to make sure she had enough-- her suite was being emptied out by the kedan when I got there.

Speaking of vouchers, if anyone needs extras they can have mine. I'm definitely the last guy here who needs them.

I know Victoria was watching one of the turtle eggs with you two, she talked about it sometimes. I don't know how that works when someone goes home, but... if there's any way I can help, just ask.

[Well if Jack had said anything else, Jim would have opened with, 'what, we aren't gloating about the snow?' Instead, he's quiet for a moment, and then he tips his head to one side.]

Hey. A friend of mine's got a birthday coming up. You think I could talk you into decorations?

[They aren't quite friends, but they aren't quite anything else. And right now, the best Jim can offer to take his mind off someone leaving is the promise of distraction.]

She kept to herself... she liked it like that. But we went out for walks sometimes in the morning, when there weren't many people around. Her and Baby Tooth got along really well.

[Staring at a vacant screen was strange, even if she could suddenly hear the voice echoing from...somewhere. But Midii couldn't ignore the sound of loss in his voice, and after everything Jack had done for her, she felt obligated to say...something.]

I'm sure she'll miss you as much as you miss her.

There must have been others who were caring for eggs, and have since gone home, must there not? I am sure the egg will be all right, at least. [To lose Victoria is bad enough: to lose the egg with her is nigh unthinkable to a brooding dragon.]

I think there are, yeah. I don't know much about the eggs, myself. Victoria said once she felt like it was close to her.
