[Aisling seems to finally understand how to work the console. Sort of. She's actually sitting on the console table with her knees up to her chest and her hair wrapped around herself like a blanket. But at least she knows where the camera is and where to look.]

It smells like a storm, doesn't it? I wonder how well a turtle will do in a great storm? I've seen the kedan outside, all rushing about. Well...the trees tell me that storms come and go here, as storms do. I am not very concerned.

[She heaves an impressive sigh and props her chin on her hands.] Still, I am more than ready to return to my own forest. The trees here are so difficult to talk to. As closed-off as the kedan are.

[She's silent for long enough that it almost seems she's forgotten the camera is on. Then she looks up again.]

What do all of you miss the most from your homes?

I can see your point.

[Pauses, trying to think of a good way to describe it.]

It's like a portable version of the console computers here. You can use it to make voice or video calls to someone directly. You can also check the Internet-- sort of like the network here but much, much bigger. Oh, and most of them have cameras to take photos and videos. And it's all totally wireless.

...Portable? So...you mean, smaller? But then the people you see on it are smaller too. Is it really useful?

They usually compensate for the smaller screen size by making the image as sharp and clear as possible.

They're definitely useful. Aside from little day-to-day conveniences, it's useful if you get in trouble. Say you get stranded somewhere. As long as you have signal, you can call for help.

Im-age...? Oh. You mean like pictures.

Ha. It sounds inconvenient that you can't ask for help from the trees and animals.

I don't know anyone who can. Is it a pretty common thing where you're from?

[Well Aquaman can talk to marine life but that doesn't exactly count.]

All my people could do it.

It must be really weird to be in a place where most people can't. I don't think the kedan can, can they?

Not really. Humans never could. I don't think the Fir Bolg could, either. Nor do I believe the kedan can, or they would have been less keen to carve out these trees. [She gestures at her treehouse suite.] The trees don't seem to mind...but they weren't asked, I think.

So you live in a world mixed with a lot of different kinds of people. That's got to be neat. Almost everyone where I'm from is human.

[He shrugs a little.] The kedan probably didn't think to ask, if they can't hear the answer anyway.

Not really. The Fir Bolg are long gone...and my people...humans are the only ones left now, really.

What do you call your people?

That's a pretty name. Celtic?

Aisling. And yes, some people called us "Celtic."

So how are you adapting here? It must be a far cry from the world you're used to.

It's fine. I've been here for long enough that I have gotten used to most of it.

I'm a little envious-- I'm still getting used to, well, everything.
