Good morning.

I believe most of you are aware of the recent... problem that some of the foreigners had, recently, becoming invisible and losing some aspect of who they are, whether physical or otherwise.

I have two questions regarding that, in an attempt to find out what happened, why, and how it can possible be prevented in the future. Of course, the primary theory for a reason is that disorder in Keeliai weakens the turtle and gives more power to the threat to it, or some variation thereof, but maybe that is imprecise - or not specific enough.

The questions are:

First, are any of you still afflicted by whatever you lost when you got shifted from phase? If not, did you notice something peculiar before, around the time of, or after the problem discontinued?

Second, [ and Damian holds up a sketch, police-style but executed very, very well, of a youngish, dark skinned kedan man, about 25-30, drawn from the description of the old couple running the museum and confirmed by them, ] have any of you seen or talked with this man? Whether you were affected by the occurrence or not.

[Of course, at the office Bruce is a very different sort of man, and father. He's bright and talkative, animated, charismatic. He flirts with all the women he's hired and discusses the merits of golf rather loudly with the men, and when he sees Damian he shuffles that paperwork to the bottom of one of his less conspicuous piles thereof and beams at him.]

Damian! I didn't expect you to drop by, it's good to see you. Something to drink?

[ Just for an instant, Damian is irritated. Then he recognizes his reaction for what it is, as well as the necessity for Bruce Wayne to be the way he is, here - a necessity that he hadn't recognized when dealing with the WE board, in Gotham. Then again, he probably couldn't maintain it if he had tried, so. ]

Can I be of an assistance with something immediate?

[Bruce winks at him, playfully.]

You could always get me a coffee. My secretary has decided it's beneath her.

[Said secretary, of course, is in earshot and harrumphs predictably.]

[ Despite the wink, Damian bristles at the request, for the first moment after hearing it. That's not something anybody has made him do. Ever. Not any sensei he's had. Possibly, early on, because he couldn't make coffee properly, and later - well. He made it abundantly clear that it was beneath both his dignity and his qualifications. And, being the son of Talia and grandson of Ra's al Ghul, by that time, his opinion was taken into consideration. ]

[ But this is neither there, nor then, and, nails digging into his palms, Damian takes a sharp breath and makes himself focus. This is Father. He is a far more elaborate teacher than any he's had before - and, to make such a request means that this is a test of some sort. Damian's too angry to reason out why, what for, outside the very obvious ones - keeping his temper and maintaining cover - but he knows it is a test. ]

Of course, Father. [ His voice only squeaks a little, but he manages the words without his anger being quite obvious. From outside the office, that is. ] It would be my pleasure.

[ And he sets off to make the best damned coffee that he's able to. ]
