[This is weird. This feels weird and she is not comfortable. But there's a storm coming, and any issues she has with being open and friendly can wait until Liz is done with all of this.]

So at this point, I'd say just about everybody knows about the storm that's coming up. [HRGH THIS FEELS WEIRD.]

It hasn't really started up yet, but if anybody is stu-- [Just get on with it instead of insulting anyone you may be trying to help.] If anybody finds themselves out in the Earth Sector while the storm is going on, they're welcome to come to EA-1A until everything dies down.

It can't fit too many people, but there's food and water, and if the power goes out, I can still work things out as far as heating goes.

Although it'd be smarter to just stay home while this is all going on. [Because seriously, if you're going out in the middle of a hurricane for reasons that don't involve getting people to safety, she's pretty sure you're an idiot.]

[She offers an apologetic smile when the door opens.]

Hello. I'm sorry to be a bother, especially since we've not spoken before - you wouldn't happen to have a spare candle or something of the sort, would you? The power's gone out in my suite.

Don't worry about it. [She turns around to start her search before gesturing for Peggy to come in.] Could you close the door?

I should have-- [And then the power goes out.] Damn it. Just a second.

[Liz takes a moment to fire up her hand so she can see where she's going.] Anyway, I should have one somewhere.

[Peggy steps inside quickly enough, doing as Liz asked and shutting the door behind her. She sighs when the power goes out, because of course it would right now.]

[And she'd be lying if she denied instantly glancing at the fire on Liz's hands, for a variety of reasons.]

I appreciate it, thank you. It completely slipped my mind about having something at the ready, despite all other preparations.

[Yes, of course the power would be out, because there's a demon knocking on the door. Lightning flashes, accompanied by an especially loud boom of thunder. It only seems fitting.]

[Hey, big red demons are always welcome. Liz pauses for a moment before she heads back over to the door.] Just a second.

[Liz only takes a second to open the door, and promptly offers him a smile.]

Hey, H.B. Power went out in your suite, too? [She steps aside so he can come in.]

Hellboy, this is... [Uh.] Sorry, I don't think I got your name.

[She falters for a moment, though it's not highly noticeable; she'd be lying if her mind didn't immediately tread towards Red Skull upon seeing the newcomer. But she's smart enough to pick up right away that it's clearly not him, even if her mind is spinning into what he might be.]

[So she turns to Liz and sighs a little apologetically.] No, I'm sorry for not saying so in the first place. It's Peggy Carter. I live next door.

[Hellboy ducks through the doorway, already dripping wet from the short walk over. He studies Peggy with an inscrutable expression, his eyes giving off a subtle golden glow in the dark. As Liz makes the introductions, he extends his left hand - the one that isn't massive and seemingly carved from stone - toward her for a handshake.]

Peggy, good to meet you.

[He turns his attention to Liz.]

Sorry, I didn't know you had company. Just wanted to see how you were holding up.

[That and sitting alone in the dark gets a little grating after a time, what with the whole hurricane thing. He's getting antsy already.]

Don't worry about it. [She says it a little absently, as she's quickly gone back to searching for candles. It's about a minute before she finds any, along with something to hold them.]

There. [She lights them and turns to face Peggy.] You can take one of them if you want, I'm pretty sure there are more, anyway. But while you're here, do you want some tea or something?

[Since she doesn't need to rely on the power to heat it.]

And I have some booze left, H.B. - so if you want you can have that or I can make you a hot toddy.

[It's odd to reach out with her left hand, but Peggy returns the gesture and shakes Hellboy's hand, grip polite but firm.] Likewise.

[Then she turns to take one of the candles from Liz, but pauses to consider the question.] If it's not too much trouble. I was about to make some myself in my suite before being interrupted. But I don't want to overstay my welcome when I've already been asking for favors.

Sure. Either way is fine with me.

[He trods over to the window, glancing out at the torrents of rain pelting the street outside. The trees along the road are already bent with the force of the wind.]

Might as well stay. The lights probably won't be back on anytime soon.

[He knows this kind of storm pretty well, and he knows things will get worse before they get better. But at least this time he's got a roof over his head instead of being stuck out on some goddamn dingy in the middle of the ocean.]

You can stay here as long as you like. Anyway, I've got green tea and something that tastes like it might be Earl Grey.

[Liz finds a bottle of liquor and tosses it to Hellboy before she gets her kettle. She fills it with water and... just uses her fire to heat it up.]

I'm Liz, by the way. [And Peggy's already heard Hellboy's name already, but if he wants to introduce himself, she'll let him do it.]

[Peggy grins, a tiny bit.] At the risk of being stereotypical, I'd be more partial to the one akin to Earl Grey.

[With careful attention in not being obvious, she watches the pyrokinetics in action once more. But she doesn't linger very long, her curiosity quickly quelled, turning back to Liz when she speaks again.]

[She doesn't want to say "I know," but Peggy did make a habit of knowing who her neighbors were, more or less, even if she'd never spoken to Liz before.] Lovely to meet you, officially, Liz.

[Hellboy's not much for introductions. For the most part he's used to people already knowing who he is, whether they were given his dossier as a warning before his arrival onto a job, or just through general knowledge. It's not that he expects anyone to know him, especially here, but it's enough to give him the habit of skipping formalities.

Instead he busies himself with grabbing a glass for that liquor, his head tilting a bit at the quip about the tea.]

London, right? I'd know a London accent anywhere.

[Now he wonders if this lady could be from the same world, or just another version of Earth.]

[Liz says nothing for now. She just keeps on using her fire until the kettle whistles, and quickly goes to prepare the tea. Though she does allow her hand to go out, first - the candles are lit for now, so there's no need to waste her energy. She leaves the tea in a pot and pours in the water, before getting two cups as well as some milk and something that tasted like it could be honey.]

Born and raised, though I've spent a large part of my recent years on the continent and in the United States.

[She goes back and forth between watching Liz, wondering is she should offer a hand, and watching Hellboy in keeping up her end of the small talk.]

Have you been? [To London, and the question goes to both of them, really.]

Sure. I did a couple jobs for the Museum back in the 80's. Then there was that thing with the ghoul back in '92.

[He shakes his head. He'd rather not get into that.]

It's a pretty nice city if it weren't for all the goblins.

[He's also leaving out the fact that he used to date an archeologist from the Museum and lived there for a time, but that's not something he usually talks about.]

I've been there a few times, though I haven't had much opportunity to go recently. Mostly I've been stuck doing work in the States. [What with the Frogs and all.]

I'd like to go back sometime, though. [She sets the teapot and everything else down on the table.] But there's not much chance of that happening while we're all here.

A bit after my time, I'm afraid, but I have been to the Museum on several occasions. Though my London comes without the goblins. [She's assuming literal, her mind a little more open to that sort of thing after finding herself on the back of a giant turtle.]

[Peggy makes her way for the table and tea, muttering a quick 'thank you' for the drink, before sighing in agreement with Liz]

Unfortunate, but true.

[Hellboy also takes a seat, which groans in protest under his bulk, but he doesn't seem to notice.

At the mention of their current predicament he falls silent, taking a drink from his glass. It's a sad thought, and all the more reason to figure out a way of getting everyone out of there. Keeliai may not be too bad of a place, but the thought of anyone being snatched from their lives against their will, especially by a would-be witch, doesn't sit well with him at all.]

[Yeeeeah, Liz suspects where Hellboy's mind might be going. In retrospect, it probably wasn't the best thing to bring up. Probably wiser to change the subject.]

Anyway, Peggy, when are you from? Since this place is fond of bringing people from different times, and all.

[She takes a sip of her tea and nods at Liz.]

I've noticed that myself. For me, it was 1945.

[Peggy's had time to adjust to the whole people from the future thing.]

[That effectively snatches back his attention.] Right at the end of the war. That's a pretty rough time to be in Europe.

[World War II. Before her time, but around the time Hellboy was brought into the world. Hm.]

Must be tough. Were you fighting?

[Oh that doesn't go unnoticed.]

It had ended, technically, just as I arrived here. Rough is one word for it.

But yes, I was, though not necessarily on the front lines.

[Ended. Right. Far as Hellboy's concerned that war never ended. Not so long as there's Nazis still out there trying to end the world]

Front lines or not, anyone who's fought Nazis is a friend of mine.

[He tips his glass to her before taking another drink. He holds a very special kind of hatred for Nazis.]
