video:
[Julie's at one of the cafes. She has food nearby, some sort of chocolatey thing and a steaming cup of some kind of tea, but she's not feeling it. Not really. She received some news earlier that's not sitting all that well.]
So, uh...I actually don't know how many people knew the guy. But Iorveth has left. One of the kedan stopped by my suite about an hour or so ago. Apparently, Iorveth told someone to drop off a gift for me in case he left.
[She rubs the back of her head for a moment, fingers running through her blond hair. She's not looking at the camera directly. She's not really focusing on anything, actually, but that's not because she doesn't want to. She just still can't see at all.]
He was teaching me archery. Part of it got delayed, and we were recently working on learning how to make arrows. I'm wondering if anyone here would be able to continue what he taught me?
Fair warning. Can't see for shit so you'll have to be patient with me until it wears off.
Also, [There's a tone change. It goes from slightly even and a bit upset to all business.] Speaking of not being able to see. I'm wondering if anyone could help me with a problem. The shop I work in can be pretty busy on occasion and while I do just fine for the most part, getting around and all, I've bumped into a few customers here and there and it's getting old. It's kind of hard to focus on the sounds around me to make sure I don't bump into people when there are so many of them and they shift constantly. I was wondering where I could go to get a cane or...I don't know...something to help me out?
[Because she's starting to get annoyed at herself and her whole situation.]
That's all.
[She'll just fumble with the cafe device before it turns off.]

Lieutenant Yaha found a cane for me. I could ask him to look for one for you as well.

Guess I somehow keep forgetting?

[...where by this he means he's still ridiculously accurate. It's just furycrafting based rather than deep innate skill.]

[He shrugs--not that she can see it, but oh well.] Of course not. I'd rather see people able to defend themselves, and it will do me good to refresh on it.

[Which she's starting to think is idiotic. They're so useful and quiet. Easier to reload than a shotgun and if you're lucky, the ammo can be reused.]
Thank you. You and a girl also offered. Hope you don't mind I took you both up on it. I figure different points of views and ways to do things would be a good idea to learn from.

Sorry Julie. Has anyone offered one yet? But hey, you with a cane and me with a staff, we'll really match.

[She smiles.] Well, now I'll have to paint them to look like tree branches. Then we'll really look awesome.

[ he hesitates a little, the comparison having coming out of nowhere and leaving him feeling oddly disconnected ]
... North would approve.

Did you hear? I have an offer from someone willing to make me a device to wear that'll help me get around, too. Neat, right?

[No god damn clue what a swizard is.]
I'm borrowing my friends polar-bear dog. Does that count? She's a bit big for the shop, though. And tries to eat everything.

Naga! Come say hi!
[And suddenly, this very large face is sniffing at the screen.
And then a moment later, trying carefully to steal Julie's food. Julie's used to this so she just pulls her plate away.]
No, Naga. You have your own.
[Naga huffs and vanishes off screen to sit outside the cafe and wait for Julie.]
See?

[There's a pause and then...well, Allison could actually use some distractions in her life.]
I know archery. I've never taught anyone before, but I could try.

[Julie grins at the other girls offer.]
Yeah? You won't have a problem with it? I mean, I already had another guy offer but I don't mind the extra lessons at all. What I've learned so far has been pretty fun.
