[This was, unfortunately, something she had experienced before, and even with that, it still took her a couple days before she was able to make this announcement. Even with knowing that it meant that he was hopefully home. She wasn't willing to break down where everyone could see it.]

Jaime, my son, is no longer here.

Tony, Miles, if you could come over to the clinic at some point, I'd be grateful. He left some instructions for where a few things should go, in case... this happened.

[Still hard to say.]

[The door's unlocked, for when Tony arrives, and she's waiting.]

[He at least has the courtesy to knock, although he ends up checking the door afterward. That kind of defeats the purpose. But nevertheless, he does enter slowly, announcing his presence.]

Hey! Uh. Letting myself in... [What can he say?]

Come in. You are welcome here, Tony.

[She's within view of the door, having stood up when he knocked, and waves for him to actually walk in, rather than slowly creep. For all his failings as a person at times, Tony's grown on her.

Maggie the swizard is basking near a window, wearing a crown of flowers. Jaime made it in a fit of boredom and put it on her before he left. Bianca hasn't had the heart to take it of her, and the swizard hasn't done anything to knock it off or otherwise remove it so far.]

Yeah. Ah, thanks.

[He looks around as he enters. It's not like he's never seen the place, but not under circumstances like this. He shifts a little, then catches sight of Maggie with her flower crown and smiles gently.]

How are you doing, Bianca?

[It's well lived in, and now that it's down one teenaged boy, it's slightly cleaner, even after the Thanksgiving dinner the Reyes suite hosted only a few days ago.]

I'm holding up. It's- I wasn't expecting him to disappear again. But I know he's safe.

[Tony might be a hard to manage big kid much of the time, but at the moment he's quiet and respectful. It's not as hard to see how he could be the head of a company when he moves forward to offer some comfort.]

He'll come back. I'll help you keep things together for him in the meantime. Anything you need.

[The idea of Jaime coming back here again is enough to make her tear up.]

I'm not sure I want him to come back. Not here.

It was awful to find out he disappeared but he's my son. He shouldn't have to fight against something so horrible, and there are so many kids here. None of them should be here in the first place.

No, they... probably shouldn't. [He treads carefully around that. Not every case is the same, as he's learned from some of the kids he's met.]

But it's not all bad here. Not all the time. But while he's at home, we can make sure the place stays safe, okay? What did you need me to do?

[He doesn't want her to keep focusing on the frustration and hurt from everything. Tony isn't sure how much they can trust the explanation for what happens to them when they come or go, but he's going to put on a positive face for her sake.]

[It might not be, but she's definitely not in favor of teenagers fighting potentially universe-destroying evils, regardless.]

One of the requests he had written in case he left was for you to have Maggie, if you wanted her.

[The swizard, as far as companionship goes, was Jaime's, after she was left to him by her original owners.]

[Tony isn't a fan of making kids fight either, but he's also learned that trying to stop them generally doesn't go his way. Sometimes he does have to give up control.]

I'll take care of her. What can I do for you?

[He's firm about that. Taking care of pets is one thing, but he's tired of watching people get left behind to suffer.]

[Her son's a good kid. He had already made it clear in the past that he felt like he had to do something with the powers he ended up with. She's proud of him and won't stop him- she can't, but it won't stop her from worrying about him or any other kid that's found themselves in that position.]

I- right now? I don't think I need anything.

But thank you for asking, Tony. And for being willing to take Maggie.

[She sounds very sincere and grateful.]

[He frowns slightly, not exactly satisfied with that answer, but if she says she's fine he won't argue.]

Well, let me know if you do need something. I'll do what I can. You don't have to worry about it being too much or too little, okay? That's what I'm here for.

[It's not as much as he would like, but at least he's trying.]

[Holding up isn't exactly the same as fine, but she's happy he isn't pushing the issue.]

I will. I just need some time to get over the shock.
