[Rin is in his suite, nursing a cup of tea and frowning at the console as if it personally insulted him. Underneath that he looks vaguely worried, though.]

Oi, has anyone seen Merle lately? She's basically like a catgirl--you know, tail and cat ears and everything? She lives in the Earth Sector, I think...

[He trails off, staring at his tea for awhile before he blinks, seeming to remember something.]

Oh, there was something I wanted to tell you guys. I was gonna say something sooner, but then all this crap happened and the storm, so...anyway, in case you don't know or were wondering? The Emperor is the one who brought us here. Yeah! It's all her fault that we're stuck here. It wasn't the turtle or anything we did, it was all her. She says we're here for some kind of purpose, but she didn't even tell me what that was! Not even a hint!

...So yeah. That's all I wanted to say.

It's a nice change when the worst thing that can happen is maybe running out of tea.

I always drink a lot of tea when it's raining. Ugh, I hate rain. Makes me feel all like...lethargic and tired.

Then I guess you're lucky it's not raining anymore. Though if you want something more effective, coffee would probably be your best bet.

Well, I like the canned coffee, but I don't think I've ever had it hot. Huh. Is it really that good? I know Westerners love it.

It used to be one of the only things that could get me up in the morning. [Back when she actually slept regularly.]

[dadissues]

Oh man, maybe I really should try coffee, then. I suck at getting up in the morning.

...Not that there's really much point in that these days...

Too bad we can't just sleep the days away. It'd certainly make things less frustrating. [For other people, at least.]

I've been sleeping in a lot, lately...it's weird. Usually Yukio's there to shove me out of bed or something...

[He's silent for a moment.] Man, I...really miss them.

Yukio, my brother. And my friends.

Sorry. [That he's not with them. It's rough, not having anyone like that around.]

...Well, I'm surviving. And I'll have all kinds of stories for them when I get back.

['Surviving.' That really is the best way to describe what's going on with the lot of them, isn't it?]

Yeah. This place will definitely give you plenty of those.

Let's just hope they all have good endings.

It'd be a nice change from how things usually go, at least. [But she does hope that, whenever Rin goes home, things will goes well for him.]
