[Rin is in his suite, nursing a cup of tea and frowning at the console as if it personally insulted him. Underneath that he looks vaguely worried, though.]

Oi, has anyone seen Merle lately? She's basically like a catgirl--you know, tail and cat ears and everything? She lives in the Earth Sector, I think...

[He trails off, staring at his tea for awhile before he blinks, seeming to remember something.]

Oh, there was something I wanted to tell you guys. I was gonna say something sooner, but then all this crap happened and the storm, so...anyway, in case you don't know or were wondering? The Emperor is the one who brought us here. Yeah! It's all her fault that we're stuck here. It wasn't the turtle or anything we did, it was all her. She says we're here for some kind of purpose, but she didn't even tell me what that was! Not even a hint!

...So yeah. That's all I wanted to say.

Sure, but not everyone is gonna keep themselves in the know. [He sure didn't until just recently.] Might as well just put it out there.

[Then his thoughts wander back to the missing girl.] But your friend... Any chance she could've wandered off into the storm?

She might have...the truth is I haven't talked to her in awhile, so I really don't know. I should have paid more attention...

Sometimes these things happen. Like I said, I'll keep an eye out for her. If I find something, I'll let you know.

[And he will. He'll actually be searching for her. He goes on plenty of walks through the Sectors and to the edge of the shell on a pretty regular basis, so it's no skin off his teeth. Not to mention he could use the distraction. That and he really does want to help.]
