[So Kurt has a tiny tree set up behind him. It's the best he could do, and he thinks it's pretty charming with it's ribbon wrapped around it and small ornaments hanging from the branches. He's also managed to find, make or whatever it was, a Santa hat.]

I know that it's been a sad affair for most people in recent days, but I was wondering if anyone else had the kedan at their door baring gifts? I'm hoping so because I really don't know what I've done here to deserve such gifts. I'm not complaining because they are wonderful.

[He holds up a glass and with his tail wrapped around the neck of a bottle he pours a drink into it, and toasts to uh, everyone.]

So, I hope it's not in bad taste if I say Merry Christmas. Emma, there's a bottle here with your name on it if you want to come for a drink. [He looks over to it and shrugs.] Might not be Cristal but it's the best I can do.

[It's the blue guy! Prussia hasn't talked to him in a while, but it's nice to have someone he can chat with without having to write in English. German is so much easier.]

What'd you get? I got a gun, and let me tell you, it is a pretty one. Didn't know they kept Lugers around here.

A gun? Wow, that's not what I expected from a place like this. Always surprised to be surprised. I got a sword, which is a thousand times better than the one I found months ago in a store in some sector.

Definitely not from around here, but I'm not complaining. The problem will be stocking up on bullets.

Well maybe you'll get lucky and find some in another landfall. Or find someone here that can make them.

It's a scimitar.

I know guns. If I can get someone to make them, I'll tell them how to do it.

A scimitar? Not nearly as effective as it is fancy. They dull too easy.

It's a blade and right now it's sharp and it'll cut if what we're up against has a body to hurt.

Well hey, we're both in a similar boat here, my blade can get blunt and your gun can run out of bullets. Yeah, and I'm guessing you did as well. They're being awfully generous.

[His gun is still forever better than a scimitar. They could have at least given Kurt a German sword.]

Hell yeah, I did! Maybe they've acknowledge everything we're doing for them finally. Little gratitude goes a long way.

[That would have fit him a little too much.]

It certainly looks like it might help boost morale. I think for some people it might be a little late though.

[No point in owning a weapon that doesn't suit you unless it's a last resort.]

It was too late when they kidnapped us, but they could at least reward us for it.

True and at least it wasn't something I don't really use.

[Kurt's one of a handful of people who could serve her sparkling grape juice from the gas station and not earn a biting remark for his trouble. He might be magic.]

Considering how everything has been here on the turtle, I really didn't think there'd be anything like this. It's nice though.

That's very true, but I don't think they'd neglect their own people in favour of us... right?
