[saviormaiden]

[ The video feed cuts on to show a very irritated looking girl. She seems to be in her late teens, and her thick lips are pursed tightly. The look might be a slightly familiar one for some residents, or ones that have seen the other Hale around. ]

Look, I feel really bad for this place and all. [ The sarcasm drips off of every word. ] My heart bleeds, really. But I don't have time for this, I have my own 'battles' to fight.

[ She's Not Pleased, capitalization included. She's frustrated that she's been taken against her will, taken so soon after she had been down and out for so long. The people weren't even clear if her brother was here.

She hopes it's not the Alpha pack. ] Derek, are you here? We need to figure out a plan to get home. I'm not twiddling my thumbs in this place any longer than I have to, this isn't my war to fight.

[ Cora is very adamant about this. She also might be thinking of a way to tell the emperor to sit and spin. ]

Uh huh. [ Still giving her that smirk. ] Anyway.

[ He grows a little more serious. ] The... Emperor. The one who was bringing us here, originally. She was murdered, and if she couldn't send us home...

[saviormaiden]

He's not my type. [ She rolls her eyes. You're not off the hook yet, Derek, but she'll accept some teasing. Anything except that grim face of yours.

Then he's serious again and she crosses her arms loosely. ] So there was a coup?

[garou]

I don't know. [ A sigh. ] There hasn't been much more information released.

[saviormaiden]

Released? [ She sounds incredulous. Why are you talking like it's the freaking White House? ] Why should we even care? We need to get back home.

[garou]

[ Because it might as well be. ] Cora, there is no way home.

[ He stands up abruptly, turning to face her. ] None. We're trapped and there's nothing we can do about it.

[saviormaiden]

[ And that pisses her off. ] So you've been sitting on your ass for two months? Don't you remember what's going on back home?

[ She knows she shouldn't say it, but all her frustrating from the Alphas, to being poisoned, then to this mess just bubbles up. It's not Derek's fault, but she's just lashing out. It's a Hale thing. ] Am I the only one that remembers Boyd?

[garou]

[ Derek goes still, jaw set, nostrils flaring, and he crosses his arms after a moment. When he speaks, he's quiet. He's already had this conversation with Isaac, sort of. It still hurts. ] I will never forget what happened to Boyd and Erica and if you think I haven't tried to find a way out of here, you're wrong.

[saviormaiden]

I— [ She sighs and rubs at her forehead, looking down for a moment. Cora takes a deep breath to calm herself before she speaks again. ] I know. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to take it out on you.

[ She looks up at him again. ] I just hate feeling helpless. I was sick and couldn't help you, now I'm here and—

[garou]

[ He reaches out and puts a hand on her shoulder, squeezing gently. ] I get it. I do. But we're not alone anymore. I'm not—[ He stops, with a small sigh. ] You're okay. And you're here.

[saviormaiden]

[ She looks at his hand, then brings up one of hers and puts it on top of his. ] I promise I won't leave. [ She gives him a little smile, repeating his promise to her from back in the hospital. ]

[garou]

[ And that's when he drags her in for a hug. Everything could absolutely turn to shit, but it'd be fine, because he's got his family back. Again. ]

[saviormaiden]

[ Cora smiles into his shoulder and hugs him back. They were together again, as they should be. ] Someone has to keep you all in line.

[garou]

Even though I'm the Alpha?

[saviormaiden]

Yup. [ She's teasing though. Cora missed getting big brother hugs, though she'd never admit it. ]

[garou]

[ He pulls away with a small grin, and nods towards the door. ] I'm not that far away. WO-1D. If you need anything...

[saviormaiden]

Good. [ She still has her hands on his upper arms. ] You still need to fill me in on what's happened the past two months.

[garou]

What do you want to know? [ He moves to sit again, slightly more relaxed this time. ]

[saviormaiden]

What happened when you tried to find a way home? [ She goes to sit next to him this time. ] Is there some kind of barrier? Or just too many guards?

[garou]

[ He takes a deep breath. ] We're on a giant turtle in the middle the ocean. I never made it to the barrier, proper, but even if I had, it wouldn't matter. There's no where to swim to. We docked at another city, but there was now way out there, either. Too many guards, and the authorities were constantly checking papers.

[saviormaiden]

[ Cora looks visibly surprised. ] Wait, an actual turtle? It's not a metaphor?

[garou]

[ He has to grin a little at that. ] An actual turtle.

[saviormaiden]

Ugh. [ She pinches the bridge of her nose. ] What is this, a Terry Pratchett novel?

[garou]

[ He shrugs. ] I haven't heard anything about elephants, so probably not.

[saviormaiden]

[ Okay, if they started a nerd reference line they'd never get anywhere. ] What about these Kedan people?

[garou]

No idea. [ He shakes his head. ] They seem nice enough.. they're not human, though.
