[Somebody's in better spirits than she has been since...well...almost since she first arrived in Keelai.  Spending time around her newly-hatched Turtle baby had that effect on a young girl.]

[Yet there was a faint hesitation behind the smile, and Midii side-eyed something just off screen several times before speaking.]

Not that I'm not grateful for the gifts...but...um...how do I say this?

I've never carried anything made of magic before.  I'm...not sure I would be the best person to have it.  I'm not even sure how to use it.

[There was no reason to hide her face today, so even though Jack kept his side on audio--though video would have been useless, since she still couldn't see him--she maintained video on her end. At least he would be able to see her.]

It's some kind of talisman, I think. The note was written in English, so it took me a little while to translate, but I think it said it could give me the power to...fly?

[She sounded slightly unsure about that. For more than one reason.]

[Then he mentioned that he was grateful for her gift, and her smile warmed considerably. A small weight felt like it was lifted from her shoulders; she had been uncertain about it until that moment.]

Flight will probably a welcome diversion. Yet, also dangerous. And power... it usually has to come from somewhere. So you are probably correct, in not rushing into experimenting with it. I suppose giving it to somebody less wise about it will not be the best choice, however.
