I've never carried anything made of magic before. I'm...not sure I would be the best person to have it. I'm not even sure how to use it.

I could. It took a few minutes to translate, but I figured out what it said. Just not how to use the...whatever it is.

I got one as well and I don't quite know how to use it either to be honest. But isn't that part of the fun?

[Midii wasn't exactly apathetic when it came to the loss of their kidnapper. She wasn't happy, and she wasn't sad, but there was still an unease deep in the pit of her stomach when she thought about it.]

People will also be missed. Of course everyone dies, and even more so when war finds us but that doesn't mean they do not deserve to be remembered. We have to have respect for each other like that.

I'm sure the kedan will be doing something for her. She was their leader, after all. Leaders always get big ceremonies to wish them goodbye.

Not if they were bad Leaders in life. Eshai might not have been the best at governing but she was a warrior through and through. My father would have respected that.

No.

At least, I don't think she was. The few memories I have of her were of her taking care of me and the twins. [And yet, Midii had three brothers, not just two] Papa never talked much about her. Only the little things.

The little things are what are truly important, sometimes. My best memory of my mother is her tickling my belly as she talked about my ancestors.

You were lucky. That sounds like a nice memory to have.

It was. But I'm sorry I made you thin about your own mother.

It's alright. I don't really have enough memories of her for it to hurt.
