[ Zelgadis has already been flipping through the network a little bit to get accustomed to what it was and how people used it, but there was such a flood of information there that he lost patience reading through other people’s drivel. It was time to send out feelers on his own.

I’m under the impression that there are many of you out there who arrived in a fashion similar to mine. Meaning, not natives to this city. Who are all you people?

But being too broad will just hinder your investigation more. For instance, does "who are you people" mean you want our names? Or our species? Or our occupations? Or an existentialist conversation about the state of "being"?

I'll take whatever information anyone wants to volunteer.

You've probably heard most of this, but we're on a turtle that doesn't seem to be traveling anywhere. And it glows in the dark. Apparently the Emperor is behind this, but I don't know if there's any proof.

I've gathered most of that. What sort of Emperor are we talking about, though? That's one of the things I couldn't get out of anyone else.

The emperor's a woman, for starters. I guess it's a cultural thing. Apparently she holds an audience once a month where you can submit requests or ask her questions. I'm not sure exactly what she's like; I skipped out on it this time.

How long have you been here?

Three weeks. Why?

Just curious about the time scale for how long people have been here. The existing infrastructure seems quite old.

From what I've heard, so-called foreigners are a pretty new phenomenon here.

Even more mysterious. I initially thought this was all accidental, but this is starting to sound too convenient. I'll have to see the Emperor about this sometime.

This place is mystery with enigma filling, coated in creamy paradox sauce. I'm still figuring out what's up with the kedan.
