[Maybe he's being overly cautious, but Tim isn't entirely sure if he's still in the Unternet and thus the city is just some trick, and so he chooses to make his first entry on the cities network text only. His decision is further bolstered by the uniform stowed away - the uniform further complicating the location decision. If he wasn't in the Unternet, then logically he shouldn't have that uniform. Still, Tim knows at least how find if he has any allies in this unknown city - virtual world or not.]

Well. That was a pretty rude awakening. I'm not used to waking in the tub surrounded by strangers. I mean, sure the tour of the city was different and the welcome pamphlet is a nice touch. But I'm not a huge fan of waking up in some fantasy movie and being told I'm going to fight some big bad evil. I'm not really the hero type. Heck, I haven't even had my morning coffee. Oh! Name's Todd Richards. Don't suppose anyone here has heard of Star City? Or knows where to get that coffee? [That should pique the interest of anyone familiar with his dimension. And the name should alert any close allies...]

Tim doesn't miss the encryption. Of course he doesn't. The question is; why was it needed? He doesn't tap into it - it's a simple encryption and Tim isn't going to take the bait. Nor does he mention it. Yet.]

Maybe not. But they don't make great weapons and you can't lecture evil to death.

Not everything has to be a weapon. Lectures are not always necessary.

[Okay, so Tim is paranoid that the encryption isn't strong enough - is it a test, more than bait? He doesn't know, and so he doesn't break form, keeping to the Todd Richards persona for a while longer. Jor-El was likely an ally, but Tim didn't always trust likely allies quickly.]

So what would you propose I do with my intelligence?

Put it to use. What is here can be permanently improved on.

Picking up the sword or changing into different clothes or armor will not necessarily do that.

[The encryption isn't strong at all; the most it would do is keep someone with no knowledge of hacking encryptions whatsoever out. For someone with that knowledge, it would be readily possible.]

That's true. But I find changing into different clothes lets me use my intelligence much better than being myself does.

[Unexpected. If it is the subject matter he thinks it is being brought up, a stronger encryption would be better still, even though this new one isn't inadequate.]

What stops you from using it effectively out of them?

Don't get me wrong. I'm perfectly capable of using it out of them. Though wearing an expensive suit or a skin-tight uniform tends to allow me to use it more freely and without fear for those close to me.

I have to admit, I never thought I'd get the chance to talk like this with Superman's dad.
