[Hal's recording this from Barry's place and he looks uncharacteristically hesitant.]

I think Barry's gone. My ring can't find him and I know it couldn't find people when everyone did that ghost trick a while back, but he also left his-- [He belatedly realises he can't say Flash ring.] --wedding ring behind and he'd never forget it.

[He falls silent again as he figures out what else to say.]

It's like I just got him back and now he's gone again. [He hasn't worked it out, but it feels like in all the years he's known him, Barry was dead longer than he was alive.]

I never really paid attention to what people did in this situation, but I guess I should tell Bart to get over here. Anything else I should do?

If I was thinking it, I'd say that. I don't.

He seemed like nice person and I'm sure he'd appreciate the fact his good friend is trying to look out for his grandson. [Even if she suspects from her impression of him at Thanksgiving that he'd be as flustered as Hal's getting over everyone thinking they're a married gay couple.] I don't want you to be overwhelmed, and it sounded like you're getting there. And if you need anything for that matter, let me know.

[She draws the line at money, though. She'll feed you, and even Bart, but she won't lend him money. Hal already gets paid well at the clinic for his (actually invaluable) work there as it is.]

Actually I was thinking of taking a couple of days off. [Sure cleaning up isn't going to take long with him and Bart, but it's not just because the place needs clearing.]
